I think Meryl Streep could die from a heart attack if Frances McDormand beats her to the fourth acting Oscar.

About Vicente Fernandez, I wonder if he was the inspiration for the character design of the Superstar character Ernesto De La Cruz in Pixar's Coco. -
Yes, we found it out very late. Sorry, but it happens. If your first sub were to die, I'd even change the team, this late in the year - though, in the end, if you pick them you should check yourself. We know it's hard in some cases though. But I guess that's the danger of the more obscure theme teams.

On mobile, so I can just link to the reddit thread which shows him in a striking new photo:

Interview with a Vampire is now 27 years old, i.e. was made a couple of years before some people on here were born. I imagine for me, it would be like not knowing a middle / late 70s movie. And Generation Z / Zoomers, they don't have the "cultural canon" anymore, I.e. being forced to watch certain movies and series because there's nothing else on TV.

I'm currently in Naples for a week. We've had hailstorms today, which is not helping with my very ...mixed... view of the city. The people here are mostly crazy, but I'm adjusting to it...

Indeed, we are slowly and surely moving towards the record. I think we can also expect some year-end round-up hits. Maybe more than usual, because all the obit writers were fired, so they just give a short notice.

Was anybody sad when the committee missed the death of his predecessor Paul Volcker? In their defense, one would have needed genius levels of skills, to be a deadpooler of the highest quality, to predict his death.

Did he stutter? (meme)

Book gets 2nd place, and The Daredevil completes the podium.

One more vote for Nigel Lawson, I can feel it. Also, Gina Lollobrigida. I know the committee wants to go for James Baker soon, but it might be too early? Wait for Kissinger's death. Another vote for Gorbachev , but kudos for avoiding him this year. Sandra Day O'Connor Pelé Silvio Berlusconi Desmond Tutu (!)
