    Derby Dead Pool 2021

There does exist this: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/entertainment/legendary-jazz-guitarist-pat-martino-214957470.html I will do an update tomorrow though, (hopefully with a different QO) but yes, it's a well-timed boost to Salmon Mousse's score.

    Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy fears he'll never be on stage again, and also, the Mirror says he battles Alzheimer's, but maybe they're confusing it with his Parkinson's? https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/ozzy-osbourne-fears-never-perform-25333840

    Hooroo, Mate.

The Daily Mail just covered him a few days ago, after a "life-saving" leg amputation...maybe the leg still lives? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10125035/Patti-Newton-shares-rare-photo-husband-Bert-undergoing-life-saving-leg-amputation-surgery.html I thought there would be a QO once I finish writing this post. Edit: Ah tricky, but it's there: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10147249/Australian-TV-legend-Bert-Newton-dies-aged-83.html

    Ideas and possibilities 2022

Remember three days ago, I suggested Brian Morris, minor golf player with stage iv cancer. Well now I suggest Michael Graydon, Irish Poker Player with lifetime earnings of over $600.000. He has stage iv brain cancer and "there's nothing the doctors can do": https://www.pokernews.com/news/2021/10/poker-terminal-cancer-wsop-main-event-40143.htm https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=94758 Just like Brian Morris got to the PGA finals because of cancer, Michael Graydon might just make it to the WSOP finals.

(Return Of) The Celebrity Split List

Btw, is there a celebrity engagement/marriage thread? This way, we could cover the whole coupling/baby/split (-death) cycle.

Hmm... Trump's eskimo brother then. Isn't that kind of family/fringe, too? Edit: Ah yes, it's posted there, too.

    Queen Elizabeth II

It's the COVID AIDS, I knew it. Problem is her early ALS as a co-morbidity. That makes her situation really dicey.

Glorious, as always, Maryport. Bonus points: Waking up is indeed hard to do when you're dead.

Hah, I see, him and Gigi Hadid split up. And well, his last UK Top Ten hit was 4 years ago. But then, he has a child now and should still be somewhat rich? You know, there'll be several One Direction reunion tours in the next decades.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

Last year, #50 was Peter Sutcliffe. It's really kind of a "joker" slot. Who knows, maybe there'll be a terminally ill killer coming out of the woodwork.

    Hollywood Possibilities

Statistically, this Octobre is not that bad. We could still get to about 20 hits. Rose Lee Maphis and Maire Mhac T'saoi (?) are still waiting for obits. Even the annual record is not totally out of reach.

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

I found that suspicious as well. We had quite a few prominent chefs in cancer battles. Now, Fatima Ali and Andrew Fairlie had cancers -probably- unrelated to food/drink, but Sommelier Gerard Basset had esophageal cancer. When you google "chef stomach cancer" you find the "cook without stomach", Hans Rueffert. Or Sous-Chef and musician Abdul Zakir, cause of death: stomach cancer. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/article-abdul-zakir-had-a-knack-for-finding-the-inner-musician-in-everyone/ Or half a year ago, Westin Hotel executive chef Curtis Wolf: https://eu.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/local/2021/02/23/greenville-westin-hotel-executive-chef-curtis-wolf-dead/4540013001/ There's also one of the world's most esteemed chefs, Grant Achatz, with stage IV tongue cancer.

    Queen Elizabeth II

I could imagine her lingering around in poor health for a few years, just like Philip. There'll be at least a year or two when we just can't explain anymore why she's alive.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

May I guess the categories? 1. Doctor Who 2. Wrestlers 3. Rugby And then it gets difficult.... 4. Members of parliament 5. Sci-Fi / Fantasy writers? (And of course, I would definitely choose a "classical musicians" category, a D-A-CH-category, an "official" LGBTIAQ²*XYZ category, and...oh, why not Chess players and, I don't know, architects? Inventors? Businesspeople? Something like that.)
