Probably the oldest person in space for a looong time. He might just be the healthiest 90-year old on the planet. (and off).

I've been pretty successful in this with a couple of top placements (though not THE top placement), but no chance this time. I'm pretty sure Nigel Lawson will be the winning pick for msc. And pretty soon, like, early next year.

Just two days after he stepped down "to focus in his cancer treatment"...meh... Edit: Prostate cancer... usually not that deadly, but there've been a few bigger cases lately. I guess Mr. Goldner took it too easily.

Steve Harwell, lead singer of Smash Mouth, leaves the band and retires because of mounting health issues. https://www.tmz.com/2021/10/12/smash-mouth-singer-retiring-chaotic-show-health-issues/ I couldn't think of a witty thread subtitle so I didn't create one.

Drol and me now with a 2 hit advantage over the field - can either of us land a lucky punch? Personally, I think the 11/15 rate is already an excellent result, a deserving win for us both, and now we're definitely surpassing the 7 hits of last year's winners after 3/4rds of a year.

Well, my mother just sent the walking stick photos in our chat group and thinks that she has declined lot. Let's see if it's indeed the beginning of the end.

Oh, no! Another soul trapped in a decaying vessel bound to this barren plane! -
I guess it puts me in a pole position, but if I make it, I might just get to share it with one of the many players who have also picked Gulpilil and/or Igglesden.

Bob the builder? Mr. Oizo?

While looking up, again, the health situation of David Gulpilil, I noticed that another Aussie film legend, Jack Thompson, has been suffering from renal failure since 2018, but a dialysis machine "gave him back life": https://www.theaustralian.com.au/weekend-australian-magazine/actor-activist-philanthropist-scholar-the-extraordinary-life-of-jack-thompson-80/news-story/d250ddd9195a038169806343feb3c78d

Maybe it's just scammer mail and they want her to buy gold or something.

In 2016, I managed 8 unique hits across three teams, too. Two times, I had 4 unique hits on a team, once Shameless, once B-team. I do wonder though, if someone in the old times managed more unique hits - mostly because of fewer players?

We could also the remaining names from this list, as long as the list still exists: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-wanted_Nazi_war_criminals There is a Kurt Gosdek, and a Helmut Rasbol (no trial because of lack of evidence).

Just in case you forgot about her, she gets front page coverage at Sports Illustrated. The cancer is currently under control.... until it isn't: https://www.si.com/more-sports/2021/10/07/black-widow-cancer-little-blessings-daily-cover Apparently, she has quite a health history.

A very rare case of a notable person getting more notable with her illness AND someone guessing that this was going to happen. A bit like my DDP pick Emma Hannigan a few years ago. Happens rarely. The timing for Mrs. Chaudhri was just a little less optimal. Edit: Still, without that Albert Raboteau obit, the lead, and probably the win eludes me.

Might this count for Sophie Sabbage? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00107yr A description of a Radio 2 programme. I think it does. Edit: That one might have existed since they put the show online.

Tom Parker aims to be "cancer-free" by March...well, good luck: https://metro.co.uk/2021/10/07/tom-parker-aims-to-be-cancer-free-by-march-from-terminal-brain-tumour-15379600/ He tried several private treatments and lost a lot of weight at one point - until he seemingly found one that worked. It still makes you wonder what timeline he is on. Could linger on for a few years.
