Lucile Randon must be pretty close to being the oldest ever person not to be the oldest person alive, i.e. oldest ever 2nd oldest person.

Don King inexplicably turns 90 today. German media mentions his current beef with a german boxer. It seems like he goes on as usual. His great competitor in the promotion business, Bob Arum, turns 90 in December. Seems like boxing promotion is a healthier profession than one might have guessed.

Bandura got an Independent Obit just yesterday, finally. Maybe someone at the Independent reads this forum? I think there were a couple of forum-relevant names, Independent only like Barbara Hammer and Cynthia Heimel. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/albert-bandura-psychology-obituary-death-b1900898.html

Has to be uk.news.yahoo, but yes, that exists, too.
-
Kind of DeathListy in my opinion. The article also mentions a previous hospitalisation this year because of heart issues.
-
Ah, another case of hanging on for so long, he was forgotten by all.... except for a few!
-
Indeed, sorry, no time! I'm thankful for the watchful eyes nonetheless, and by the way, @YoungWillz: How good are you with excel?

Don't speculate about Kim Jong-Un's health and weight loss, it's a reactionary act: https://www.rfa.org/english/news/korea/weight-08182021150214.html

Ah, that Sveshnikov... "inventor" of the Sveshnikov variant of the Sicilian Opening. I know, that sounds extremely obscure, but is actually somewhat notable, as one of the most recent great discoveries in chess theory. And by recent, I mean the 80s. It broke through into the mainstream in the 90s.

Well, in the DDP I'm doing pretty badly at this title defence thing. I will get more hits, maybe even one more QO for my LotL-ers. But to achieve another big success I'd need a Suzy Friton hit, I think. She's been "healing" for months now in a way that sounds like she was near death a couple of times. New Instagram post (first new post in over a month):

Seems you all liked him, RIP.... (I've never heard of him). With all the lockdowns it's really hard to sniff out deaths among the stage people / entertainers.
-
"Christian" radio host Jimmy DeYoung also dead of Covid: https://www.chattanoogan.com/2021/8/15/432938/Bible-Prophecy-Teacher-Dr.-Jimmy.aspx

So this thread exists and I had already posted three times in it....to my surprise. Anyway, Selma Blair's MS is "in remission": https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-58240917

Heh, I was so sure of Albert Bandura getting a Times/Telegraph obit, I didn't check Yahoo. There are some more, could take some time until I get around to write them down again, though. Edit: Philip Mickenbecker got a yahoo obit, but it was not in english, so... The swedish actress Sylva Akessen, IIRC. Alan Braden, Jeannette Altwegg (for now)

Heh, David Bowie got out just in the nick of time.

Rangers legend Davie Wilson has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/in-your-area/lanarkshire/rangers-hero-lanarkshire-football-legend-24768463 He will no longer attend the games at Ibrox.

Maurice Watkins, former director of ManU, dead at 79: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/15880036/man-utd-director-maurice-watkins-dead/ He was the current director of British Swimming, too.

Is he for real???? This is some kind of world record in self-delusion. Edit: Lol, someone made a wikipedia page for him. The obituaries are being written right now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miles_Routledge

German interview about his new album "Party your Hasselhoff". https://m.bild.de/unterhaltung/leute/leute/david-hasselhoff-die-fassade-broeckelt-mein-koerper-verfaellt-77383734.bildMobile.html "My body decays, the facade crumbles"... but he does feel fine. Clint Eastwood made him a compliment for his looks. Supposedly, he hasn't had a drop of Alcohol in years. He goes to cancer screenings regularly, and actually takes care of himself.

9th hit with Gerd Müller. He would have been a DeathList-y pick, too.
-
80 years old today!
-
She was on our radar a few years ago, because she had retreated from all appearances. Until the end though, she kept her health private. There's no reason of death given.

I hope it hasn't been posted before.... didn't find anything... it seems that DDP pick and centenarian Swedish actress Sylva Akesson died in May at 104, but you have to dig deep for a source. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0959796/
