I have to crosspost this in the "Home and Away" thread - another early death for that show - it's cursed!

Oh, yeah, Jiroemon Kimura, too. Joined about a year or so before his namesake died.

I just saw that. He had to stop chemo because it was too hard. Now he's on immunotherapy which seems to work less effective. He still has some future plans though and is not on his deathbed yet, but in my opinion, not more than a few months away.

I wouldn't even know whether "Toni" is the father's or the mother's name. Same thing with the other parent named "Alex" -

Oh! Yes, a big name in Germany. King of late night talk shows before that was a thing (i.e. before we made our own version of the David Letterman show). He already did it in the 80s. Then he became a very popular TV cook, in a sort of talk show/cooking show format.

Two thirds of all Indians have COVID antibodies: https://www.reuters.com/world/india/india-govt-survey-shows-two-thirds-have-coronavirus-antibodies-2021-07-20/ Excess mortality in 2020 in India was higher than expected by up to 4,9 million deaths: https://www.reuters.com/world/india/indias-30093-new-covid-19-cases-are-lowest-daily-figure-4-mths-2021-07-20/ When all this is said and done, COVID will have infected billions of people, and killed possibly 10-20 million people, or more, depending on the devlopment of more variants, and on what's going on in Africa.

The "Havana syndrome"... diplomatic US personnel reporting unexplained headaches and dizziness at embassies: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/many-200-americans-have-now-reported-possible-symptoms-havana-syndrome-n1274385 Some belive it's the Russians and possibly microwaves. Some say it's mass hysteria not unlike the UFO phenomenom. Here, I also believe it's real. And it seems there just was an incident here in Berlin. I need to have a look.

Apparently, DDP and Deathrace pick Jack Arends, the Democratic elector, has just died: https://newdeaths.com/2021/07/19/jack-arends-obituary-death-jack-arends-has-died/ Washington State senator Patty Murray confirms. I think he lived too long to still be obitable, but we'll see, I guess.

Of course, you've come to the right place. Harrison Ruffin Tyler, grandson of US president Tyler. Father born in 1853: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyon_Gardiner_Tyler Grandfather born in 1790: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Tyler Other curious cases, but dead, are the Civil War widows/daughters Irene Triplett and Helen Viola Jackson. -

No, not dead, but an update on the most important pick this round, Russian singer Maksim: https://ria.ru/20210719/maksim-1741783647.html Stable, but serious, still in coma. Minimal improvements recently, but there has been a little up-and-down in the past weeks. Her manager also warned not to believe in health updates as the personel is not allowed to give out information. So the damage to her lungs, rumours or true? Can't believe neither of us had another hit recently, but they seem to come in a bunch.

Alan Dean Foster likes to update his blog exactly on the 1st of each month. For July, he updated that he went back into the gym again. A little weak because of chemo, but he "refuses to concede his age": https://www.alandeanfoster.com/version2.0/frameset.htm
