Very nice performance. Anybody who wants to catch you will need at least a(nother) daily double I think.

Indeed, unpicked in the DDP. Last year, Banana and me had her in the DDP (C-team though only, because I'm not sure about the QO (oh, the irony)) She seemed to do okay...

Surgery on the 31st, so well-timed for a potential quick Cup hit. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/sharad-pawar-taken-to-hospital-after-pain-in-abdomen-to-undergo-surgery-101616996188451.html

He's been seen at a hair transplant clinic: https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/star-treks-william-shatner-pays-23816293 It's incredible how well he looks - considering he just celebrated his 90th birthday. Thought I'd mention that here.

Read Any Good Books Lately?
gcreptile replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
During my holidays I read the book "Chavs" by Guardian journalist and author Owen Jones. A feisty book that helped me actually crystallize my vague discomfort with how working people are often portrayed or caricaturized by supposedly left or center-left parties. And before that, I had actually started to read "White Trash" by Nancy Isenberg, then took a break, and picked it back up after "Chavs". Same issues, different countries, different times. -
What Are You Listening To Right Now?

New albums out by Lana Del Rey and Pharoah Sanders. Especially the latter makes me happy, otherwise I might have been tempted eventually to pick him in deadpools. -

Alright, where were we? Lee Noble is a bit of a fork on the road for those who had picked him, and those who didn't. Peter Lorimer is a clever unique pick for Cpt Chorizo - who just doesn't miss a single beat in this game (and that includes Lee Noble, who he picked here but not in the DDP!). Nawal al Saadawi is the usual clever and classy DDT unique pick. Plus, there was the popular perennial pick of Beverly Cleary, and Frank Worthington, a unique hit for drol. I think that's it, giving us the following scoreboard: Rank Team Score 1 Cpt. Chorizo 781 2 Salmon Mousse 694 3 JoeyRuss 637 4 Death Impends 491 5 gcreptile 471 6 Banana 462 7 Book 460 8 An Fear Beag 456 9 drol 451 10 DevonDeathTrip 374 11 msc 364 12 theoldlady 356 13 Wormfarmer 307 14 Lynchian 301 15 The Unknown Man 281 16 The Quim Reaper 269 17 Annami 257 18 Joe Moneypenny 253 19 Kenny 240 20 The Daredevil 237 21 The Old Crem 226 22 Etushipushingupdaisies 190 23 Yorkshire Banker 183 24 chilean way 167 25 Sean 165 26 markb4 151 27 mr.whit 135 28 Grand Uncle Bulgaria 120 29 Baby Blue 112 30 Charles De Gaulle 98 31 Bibliogryphon 93 32 Gooseberry Crumble 75 33 Toast 53 34 etib80 33 34 Guyfromfuture 33 Salmon Mousse punches their joker card, pushing them to a strong second, but that might quite possibly been the biggest push they could expect. I gain three places because of Lee Noble. The scoreboard is most impressive in the sheer distance between the top three and the rest. And Salmon Mousse has already used their joker. Cpt Chorizo did too, though. If he had chosen a different joker, like Lee Noble, one could basically give him the trophy already. But as it is, somebody might still grind it out in the long run.

Also a hit for me, as he was my substitution for the double mention of Nick Hitchon.

Update will come later tonight. I think we had about 10 hits in 8 days while I was away, with Ute Ranke-Heinemann still waiting for a QO. So yeah, after that curious slump after Rush Limbaugh Mid-February/early March we are back on track.

Sad, loved her a lot. Loved her in Arrested Development. Then she played the same role in Archer. Also a frequent guest actor. Sadly, when I saw her the last time (guesting on Big Bang Theory) she looked already pretty old. Yes, she was, but you knew, she wasn't aging well. She has a perfect DDP profile picture that I am going to miss.
