Australian TikTok Boss Govind Sandhu has stage 4 non-Hodgkins Lymphoma: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13521007/Fit-healthy-Aussie-TikTok-boss-diagnosed-stage-four-cancer-noticing-odd-symptom-following-half-marathon.html That alone might not be all that fatal but they also found abnormalities on his heart and pancreas, so... watch this space.

Oh, that can often be the accelerator of decline.

I think I saw that, or something similar. While I'm occupied here in Munich, I am not exactly inclined to accept these news compilation pages. I'll have another look though. As long as this match-up doesn't enter historical levels, it shouldn’t matter after all.
-
Maybe I'll play next year. My pop culture interests give me a couple of strong ideas.
-
Yeah, there's (was) some beef between them. It hit the news occasionally.

It doesn't really matter, but I found out that world's fastest talker Steve Woodmore did eventually receive a QO, on Feb 29th of this year, so after the year he died: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-13140461/UKs-fastest-talking-cities-Leicester.html

He has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis that is getting progressively worse: https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/national/24389992.johnnie-walker-stopped-sounds-70s-probably-die-sooner/ He uses an oxygen machine and occasionally panics but is without pain. His wife says that he could live for six more months, and the thought terrifies her (?!).

That reminds me... the other Pressler, Larry. He's moved into a senior home after the death of his wife: https://www.keloland.com/news/local-news/larry-presslers-homecoming/ He's in good health despite having pancreatic and bladder cancer. I suspect that the bladder cancer is the primary tumor that spread to the pancreas.

5-1... Not going to lie, this was a much better german team than I expected. I assume though that the one goal for Scotland will also give them enough reason to drink, so it all seems fine.

Matija Sarkic, Montenegrin international, signed for Millwall dies after a sudden illness at just 26: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/breaking-matija-sarkic-dead-millwall-33036063

Perfect clickbait, who'll live longer, Trump or Biden? https://www.thedailybeast.com/who-will-live-longer-trump-or-biden-an-actuary-weighs-in The actuary says, Biden will reach age 94, Trump 92. So Biden would get older, but die two years earlier.

German designer Wolfgang Joop looked emasciated and confused at a recent TV show: https://www.n-tv.de/leute/GNTM-Finale-Wolfgang-Joop-versetzt-Fans-in-Sorge-article25014158.html Looks sort of pancreatic cancer-y to me, but in these days, he might also just starve himself into delirium, with the help of Ozempic, as so many people do right now.

Solomon Choi, founder of the frozen yogurt chain, "16 handles", dies suddenly at age 44: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13526437/entrepreneur-solomon-choi-dies-frozen-yogurt-16-handles.html Maybe the frogurt was cursed?

Johnny Canales was a mexican Tejano singer and musician who had his own show, The Johnny Canales Show on American television from 80s to the 2000s. He served as a pipeline to funnel mexican talent into the American market, like Selena. Canales was said to be very ill in the middle of the previous month, but a few days later he said that it's not that bad - but it turns out that it was. Wannamaker luckily didn't believe him and can partly compensate for the previous joker mishap. GuyFromFuture 3-7 wannamaker Banana 4-6 max_bossetti

"Is everybody else just me?" "You're one of twelve." ....it took me a while to understand that this was not some kind of mystic conversation.

Michigan artist Arabella Proffer has died: https://www.ideastream.org/arts-culture/2024-05-31/lakewood-artist-arabella-proffer-dies-after-longtime-cancer-battle My old Cup lists still seem to have some hidden gems. The quoted list above even has Joye Lee-McNelis, for example (I just checked twitter, her mother has just died).

With all the big hits we need an update, but I won't be getting around to it this weekend due to being in Bavaria. However, I want to remind you of the replacement period until July 1st. I'll post the two of my own a few days before to remind you again. But you can replace up to five names on your team. Look at the rules for more info if needed.

The one year I actually ignored her completely.... RIP... it's not like we weren't warned.

Time for former DeathList entry Oprah Winfrey to have her own thread, especially since she's recently had heavy pneumonia: https://www.buzzfeed.com/benhenry/oprah-winfrey-pneumonia I couldn't believe there wasn't a thread for her yet. (I also can't believe I just linked to Buzzfeed.)

Adam Lewis of pop punk band Fenix TX has died after several years of fighting against pancreatic cancer: https://rocksound.tv/news/fenix-txs-adam-lewis-has-died-band-pays-tribute The diagnosis was known and he showed occasionally showed up in a deadpool here and there.

Terry Allcock has died at age 88: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cn00gryw07yo Norwich City legend, and I presume, the popular Deadpooling pick. But there's also a Terry Alcock, still alive.

Well, somebody who did not outstay his welcome was Simon Cowell MBE (as opposed to Simon Cowell without MBE). The conservationist and TV documentary host died less than two years after his lung cancer diagnosis - though one might think that him surviving 2023 was already slightly unexpected. News of him nearing the end were quite public in May, and consequently three of the four teams picked him, with max_bossetti scoring lead-grabbing joker points: GuyFromFuture 3-3 wannamaker Banana 4-6 max_bossetti

Tim Shaw, aka Tim Exile, also creator of the Endlesss platform has aggressive bladder cancer: https://synthanatomy.com/2024/06/support-endless-founder-tim-exile.html https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Exile He had surgery to take out several organs, recovered, but had to return to hospital because of complications.

QO for Simon Cowell but more prestigious ones should arrive: https://metro.co.uk/2024/06/10/wildlife-sos-star-simon-cowell-dies-aged-72-cancer-diagnosis-21007098/?ico=mosaic_entertainment
