For future inquiries, no, this does not count as a Bobby Lewis QO: https://www.bbc.co.uk/music/artists/34092bf3-c768-4781-9933-97b210e35441

"I will not die... it's the world that will end" will probably end up having the most hits of the year. The player went for older people, especially Henry Gray and Daniel Arap Moi. They would lead if Tom Smith were the next one to die, but they might run out of gas if people like Yoo Sang-Chul or Steve Blackmore die. Nice test for the "5 pts are better than zero" strategy.

Let's wait for the scoreboard... ...but you all get an A for drama.

Ahem, how does the subbing work? Everyone under Sam Lloyd moves up a spot and first sub becomes nr. 21?
-
Edit: I hate it when I press "quote" instead of "edit"...

I'm mostly happy I didn't miss any obvious name. There's always a bit of luck involved, like this year, with the Ed Genson non-obit and Denis Goldberg as a last minute hit. But as long as the research still works, there are at least the basics there to do well (I guess I should have researched Tony Mills more, and putting Lee Noble so high, well, his recovery after 3-4 (?) internet fundraisers was a bit unforeseeable and slightly unlucky).

Former Green Bay Packers player Ryan Wetnight dead from stomach cancer at 49: https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/former-bears-tight-end-ryan-wetnight-died-friday-morning His cancer had been made public, but I think it was already 2 years ago or so. -
She had a rare mutation of ALS called "FUS P525L". And the internet tells me of, at least, one other person who had it, teeanger Ben Merck, who already died in November 2019. It looks like an absolute and quick death sentence.

Irish showrider Billy Ringrose dead at 89: https://www.rte.ie/sport/equestrian/2020/0430/1135826-showjumping-legend-billy-ringrose-dies-at-age-of-89/ Time for Rory to piggyback on those obits!

I think if you know 9, you will also know 4.
-
Team submitted, not too many zany picks this time, maybe one. Good luck everyone!
-
I know 4 (without googling, of course), and would have to take a guess at the haircut.

Bob Varsha's chemotherapy had almost no effect, as you can read in his gofundme: https://www.gofundme.com/f/supporting-bob-varsha039s-prostate-cancer-fight?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet

Denis Goldberg qualifies for that last week bonus. And DI gains 65 pts over GUN... Calculators out.

Seems like the UK had a data dump, like France belatedly added care home deaths to the official count. Both countries are not really happy with their leaders. With an almost identical number of cases, the UK has slightly more fatalities.

I kind of want to watch this. Some people are going to have ideas. However, rain is probably going to soothe people.

There would have been a QO: https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-religion-knights/knights-of-malta-grand-master-who-healed-rift-with-vatican-dies-idUKKCN22B0PR

I can't believe I'm still at least two hits away from victory. I also can't believe that Stephen Sondheim saw his 90th birthday, and that Sidney Poitier is still alive.

Ah..... colon infection is the headline, but in the end, it was probably the cancer after all. The treatment must have damaged his digestive system. Edit: Picked by 2 DDP teams, the mysterious Pelican among them.
