So, How’s Your 2020 Shortlist Looking?
gcreptile replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well, if I picked them, it would be because of my own research. -

2019 General Election - 4 way Clusterfuck or a End to Brexit?
gcreptile replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The Left needs to be more populist sometimes. After all, 50% of people are dumber than the average person. People don't want lofty explanations, they want to be talked to, in easy words and short sentences. No matter if it's the USA, the UK, or the European continent, the conservatives are currently much better at dumbing things down to the desired level. (I would even say that people DO understand more complicated arguments, they just don't want to be bothered with them.) -

Oh yeah, adding to what I suspected in the shortlist thread, Angie Douthit is having the final round of treatment of her life, according to her latest Instagram post. After that, it's palliative. -

My main team is going to be a typical "me"-main team, I.e. lots of high scorers that I am certain will die, but only a little more than half of them do. The B-team will be a sure-fire/low-scorer team, and especially those who I usually wouldn't pick but who die anyway (joker: RBG). Those names just keep piling up. The C-team will be the obit/death-risk dumpster team of people with questionable fame. Samantha Last goes there, and Litsa Menounos, and possibly Angie Douthit (though I would guess that she will be a Christmas death - it's what she wants). -

Apparently, eternal tease and very marginal "celebrity" Angie Douthit is now in hospital because of her cancer, but it's behind a paywall. -
Not so avalanch-like after all, but is anybody going to beat drol in an upset, with Ajoy Roy on life support and doctors not expecting an improvement? https://m.bdnews24.com/en/detail/people/1696376

I think the wheelchair indicates that, whatever cancer he has, it has spread to his bones.

See you around Dr T! Great recent performances, but some things are just more important than this. Get well, do what makes you happy.

Hah, yeah I've always been generous that way, but is she going to be the next Thuy Thanh Truong, the next Tanya Gendle or the next ..Well... insert-successful-female-suggestion-I-made?

Thanks! For the Death By Numbers, I'll go with 1961 then (could be both, and in the DbN the exact year matters). I had previously gone with the older option already in a different case.

"Legendary" high school football coach Allan Trimble dead of ALS at 56: https://ktul.com/news/local/legendary-coach-allan-trimble-passes-away Posting this because his illness was known, and he was on my "dumping ground" list, so he could have been the best possible pick for the Advent Avalanche. But alas, I went for a different "legendary" high school coach.

Hello all, just to inform you, I will be updating the scores throughout the year. My work will start once the new database is complete. So I will not get to see the teams early, but I will also submit my teams a few days before the end of the deadline, just to avoid any kind of conflict with the competetive players who probably wait until the last minute. I'm currently thinking of submitting on the 28th of December. As I think about it, I wonder if I can keep up the rolling updates of Spade with the same regularity. I can assure you that there will be several updates per week, but there might also occasionally be two / three days without an update. I'll just do the technical stuff, and leave msc with the rulings on all critical issues .

Well, what about Marian Cisovsky?

Well, I hope my pick Karl Kiefer, who wanted to "make it to the day after Thanksgiving" doesn't have any higher ambitions. https://azcentral.com/4244465002
