Ah... RIP.... yes, a massive DL miss, in my opinion. My theme team takes the hit nonetheless.

I guess a test for everyone's bullshit detectors: https://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2019/06/12/special-court-rejects-musharrafs-plea-to-dismiss-high-treason-case/ Musharraf’s counsel said that he was embarrassed by repeatedly submitting requests to adjourn the case’s hearing. He said that his client was rapidly losing weight, adding that he was unable to walk and used a wheelchair. Safdar asked for one more chance so that Musharraf could himself appear in court. He said that the former military dictator was having “heart chemotherapy” because of which his health had deteriorated.

Time for some deep mainly-for-personal-interest research... how about wine critic Robert Parker Jr.? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_M._Parker_Jr. Apparently, the most importnat wine critic in history, and sometimes called the most influential critic of everything, everywhere. http://www.vinography.com/archives/2019/05/wine_critic_robert_m_parker_jr.html At 71, he retired last month from his company and his brand, after having had back surgery recently. Another article talks about a knee replacement, and a hip replacement "that needed to be repaired". Also, a "failed spinal fusion five years ago that left him without the functional use of his left foot" https://www.baltimoremagazine.com/2018/10/15/robert-parker-ages-like-fine-wine Sounds like a quick unraveling.

So... the Daily Mail posted a Grunewald article 30 minutes ago.... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7124807/Minnesota-runner-inspired-grave-condition.html ...only, it's the same thing the BBC posted hours ago... lazy! They post about that even though Grunewald is already dead!

Who will win the Democratic Nomination for President in 2020?

I've seen small signs here and there that make a Warren victory very possible for me. Biden might play it too safe, and Sanders has a ceiling he has been unable to crack. Let Warren win Iowa and suddenly everything is possible. In hindsight, Hillary really should have picked her instead of plain boring Tim Kaine. -

Update time! I was glad to see that we kind of hit every "old person death" that we got in the past 3-4 weeks - well, except for Prem Tinsunalonda, as far as I can tell. Paul Darrow, Thad Cochran, Judith Kerr, Bart Starr, Claus Van Bülow. Plus belated obits for Tommy Donbavand and Mary Stopes-Roe. The former puts DDT at 2nd place. And I was disappointed to find out that I hadn't picked him - but well, there you see my december research that made me pick him for the B-team, but not here, as this team was assembled on December 1st. Mary Stopes-Roe gives Pedro a welcome hit, but he also has two more people now waiting for obits: Robin Herd and Norman Dewis. They should get them, in my opinion. And in terms of number of hits, Pedro will be quite up there. I also added Bob Hawke's points for Skinny Kiltrunner. That eluded me the last time. And as I have to leave the computer soon, there might be an omission here and there. Jaci Hermstad, 25, "thriving horseback rider", diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of ALS that could kill her ability to speak and breathe within a month: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-7010927/Woman-25-diagnosed-ALS-eight-years-disease-killed-twin-sister-6-weeks.html She asked for fast-track access to a new drug and Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Ah, the story made the UK papers. Killed by a right-winger, specifically, a "Reichsbürger", people who believe that the Reich never stopped existing and the current federal republic is illegal.
