Ah yes, the name rang a bell. Oregon State Senator Jackie Winters died last week at 82: https://www.columbian.com/news/2019/may/29/jackie-winters-pioneering-oregon-state-senator-dies-after-cancer-fight/ I had also mentioned her in the statistics thread.

She was narrowly beaten for a spot on my Cup team by Mrs. Yudhoyono. Turns out that was not the only thing she beat her in.
-
He did! So everyone now has points. Update next weekend.
-
Congratulations! Yes, she was the one to pick. She died 11:50 local time (Singapore). So if I get it right, 2:50 UK time.
-
This shall not take long! Nobody believed in those Julian Assange news, and nobody picked Bushwick Bill.
-
Well, I've got 7 hours... For 4 uniques and Stanley Crouch...

Ha! Explains a lot.

Demetris Cristofias Edit: I seriously hope Ani Yudhoyono is going to give me a Cup hit on the final day of a month. Has it ever happened before? Yet, if not, it would be one final joke that my Cup team could deliver.

I liked Nelly Furtado, sometimes. Also Ringo Starr is a very solid craftsman.

As I am about to leave for a prolonged weekend trip - congrats and good luck Banana Not my best performance, almost comically so. Jorge Vergara: was supposed to be dying of pancreatic cancer and being intubated in hospital. Having disappeared from public view for months. Then he resurfaced with a tweet mid may, saying everything is fine. Sergio Denis: hospitalised after a collapse on stage since march. Suddenly all drug abuse stories came out. I suspect he's in a vegetative state Maria Falzone: dying of cancer and out of public view since January. Predicted to live until around April at that point Pau Dones: Disappeared from social media in January after bad cancer news Syed Ali Geelani: My sudden-hospitalisation pick that didn't work. He survived in spite of his bad health history. There are still rumours about his health status. But he lives to see another month Destinee McEwen, Stanley Crouch, Lil Queenie Harris: Three people in hospice for over a month, all still alive Johnny Harris: Was worth a try, also wishful thinking as he is in my B-team. Nearing the finish line but not there yet. Ani Yudhoyono: Was fighting leukemia, hospitalized already for two months and critical end of April. Slowly recovering, for now. Yeah... I really expected more from that bunch

Really uninspired lately. June team: 1. Ivan Milat (5) 2. Bushwick Bill (5) 3. Fernando Ricksen (5) 4. Angie Douthit (5) 5. Johnny Clegg (5)

Yeah, Not bad... I don't quite agree with everything, but... some good calls.

Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019
gcreptile replied to The Mad Hatter's topic in DeathList Forum
I wonder... maybe we should publish the crowdsourced deathlist before the new year? This way, the committee already gets our concise opinion before they decide. It saves them time, increases hits, and is probably the way it's going to go anyway. -
It proves that our lovable immortals are actually quite rare. Tinsunaloda just wasnt made of the right stuff.

MMMDP Form Guide #37 Lars Hogh The former Danish National Goalkeeper was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. He had successful surgery early 2019, but it's pancreatic cancer, so it can always return and kill you IMMEDIATELY! Also, how can I not post a picture with this glorious 80s hair?

The only one who does not profit from May's resignation is her successor. Even May herself is going to feel better.

A gay-hater named Devine? Pah...

Very sorry, Willz, my condolences.
