Forgot that Sonny Rollins was still alive!

Correct. It's "Struggling" by Cardiff emo band "to be honest". Edit: Yes, while writing this stupid joke I accidentally clicked on the pop-up notification.

Received it! I accidentally clicked on the mobile pop-up notification. Sorry. Didn't catch a glimpse of your names though.

The next crash is coming, and it's not just Brexit. I think next year will steadily get worse.

Ah, fantastic! I mean, after Derek Dudley's death I explained to Joey and Sir Creep that every premier league (ex-)player would obit. Sims was an annoying holdout.

Well, it's easily googleable, but I have no song to follow up, so I won't say it. Anyway, I was suspecting you named your favourite pub band or something like that, only to find out that this album has quite the cult following and critical acclaim. So thank you!

Safe for now: https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-46584264 But yeah, pretty obvious no 1 on the "next celeb to commit suicide" list.

This thread is sort of depressing with these hospitalised - discharged chains. I wonder what his hobbies are.

Yes, you know what I mean - one is a "real" movie with a script, actors and so on...the other one is a different format. It's actually a little funny that the hints apply to your solution just as well as the case I have in mind. You're only roughly 15 years too far in the past - let's say 17 years.
-
No, and "film/movie" from my initial clue refers to the fact that the first song/album/film was a real "movie" - and the second one was a "film". Now I see, by the way, that the songs in question were bigger hits in the US than in the UK - the first album was also bigger in the US, but the second album had a higher chart peak in the UK than in the US. But both albums and songs were Top 10 on both sides.
-
It almost does. But I guess I should clarify that not only was the movie and the album a hit, but the song as well. So not Magical Mystery Tour. Think a little bigger when it comes to the hit, and a little smaller when it comes to the artist. Re: Toast: Everywhere
-
No not the same. First the was one song, one album and one movie with name "A" - and then, three years later, another song, another album, and another film, all with name "B". Same artist...
-
Ok, a film/movie, a song and an album with the same name. Big success. So it's done again, 3 years later. Again a big hit. And I'm looking for the latter song.

Ok - it's Bad. U2 / Michael Jackson.
