Really looking forward to it. And this time, I'm going to remember that the competition only lasts 6 months.

Twitter thinks he's very ill. I don't know what's wrong. Twitter also told me that Gardner Dozois was very ill. So I hope for a repeat.
-
Well, May was a failure. 1. Angie Douthit 2. Lee Noble (boxer) 3. Lindy Remigino 4. Marieke Vervoort 5. Andrew Young (US ambassador)
-
The people I did not pick: Alejandro Junco De La Vega Elyakim Levanon Lee Noble Augustine Chihuri And the reserve pick, a.k.a. terminally ill person who should have died months ago, David Di Chiera

Ah thanks. I only remembered it was some time mid-year.

Simon Ricketts and Jose Jose currently are in the same "should be dead but aren't" category. At least, Ricketts will probably live to see his 50th birthday.

It's very hot right now: -
She was on Home and Away, too?? That's the third one this year.
-
Neat. If both him and Gilbert survive, I can affort a couple of misses.
-
At least, I want to improve on my 7th place last year. That Ouanounou obit would seal it. We both have deadsox ahead now. Still, this year too much depends on one person - and her will to live.
-
What do you think about the Shalom Ouanounou obit?

The full Tiffany Youngs story: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/england-rugby-star-tom-youngs-12611394 Happy for them. Hope it lasts. -
About the subtitle: Shouldn't it be something like "tough enough?" or "not so tough now"?
-
Herman Wouk recently bought a new house in a gated community... Link is gated behind European copyright law.
-
Gardner Dozois is probably not famous enough... but it's interesting what one can find.
-
It should be easy to find out.... I mean one of the greatest living writers... I suspect there's a Philipp Roth connection, so it's an American. Tony Morrison? Cormac McCarthy? Don DeLillo? I would guess it's one of these three. One of the wackier ideas: JK Rowling (but she tweets)
-
Well, now I found out that the father of Salman Rushdie's daughter-in-law has cancer... unfamous person though.

Last month it was decided that life support of Vincent Lambert, DDT's pick from last year (this year P@F deathlist), should be turned off. But then a doctor prevented that: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/vincent-lambert-victory

Who will be the Last Surviving Person who Walked on the Moon?

Having a closer look, I really can't decide.... I voted for Harrison Schmitt. -
Joe Redner, "strip club king" of Tampa, Florida, has lung cancer: https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2018/05/19/tampa-strip-club-king-redners-battle-for-homegrown.html Why might he be interesting? 1. He is in a legal fight because he wants to grow marijuana to aid his treatment 2. Wikipedia calls him "the father of the nude lap dance" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Redner
