So Tiffany Youngs is this year's cult pick? The Rayya Elias of 2018 (sorry)?
-
Yes, the Pelican is always interesting.
-
Glad Cat is back and alive. Sadly the internet doesn't tell someone's health problems (well unless one wants to). Some people just disappear with no chance of ever coming back. Because they can't.
-
Congratulations Death Impends! Indeed your patience with Rose Marie paid off.
-
Congratulations Bert! Well-deserved and well-done for going out on top of it all.

When I said that I don't go defence, I kicked out Greg Gilbert and Stefan Karl. I also kicked out Angus Sinclair and Catherine Nevin - didn't want convicts anymore (find the error). In spite of their calculated score I didn't pick Shameless fodder Jason Bragg and Bowelbabe. Other names: Russell Brand's mum, Karen Lumley, Abigail Kawananakoa (sp?) - princess of Hawaii. Jose Jose is a sub, as are Pete Frates, Grant Goldman, Alan Jones, Robert Manne, and others. Edit: Oh yeah, and I didn't pick Ami Brown.

Random comments and clarifications: The Les Mutrie of 2018: Derek Dudley ("history doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes"). Sadly, already dead in 2017. The Mao Kobayashi of 2018 - Thuy Thanh Truong, however her BBC profile is from 2015. My biggest gamble, such a DDT pick: Shalom Ouanounou. "My few remaining possible uniques are probably shared with DDT": Hector Timerman And I thought John Cocksy Cocks might have been unique... Marieke Vervoort: 26pts joker or 32pts? Also, I have three lesbians on my team. Abigail Kawananakoa could have been the fourth.

Meh.. Thomas H. Monson for me.
-
Hi Davey.
-
Congratulations drol. One of the most impressive results last year.
-
Really a guessing game. Also going with Wouk.
-
Good she's on the list, just in case, I am ok with the low ranking. Would have expected her much higher.
-
Ah... a name of mine included... but then, his eventual entry onto the list was never really in doubt I guess.
-
Yes, would have loved to pick him (Masekela). But he just didn't make the cut though I have a feeling that he's not going to make it. But the statistics...
-
Yes, same guy. I just saw articles with both spellings.
-
Aaaand third opinion: I think that the job was also slightly harder this time. No obvious successor for King Michael. Dean Francis in my opinion not notable enough, Greg Gilbert is no Gord Downie...
-
Oh, and I think 15 hits are realistic.
-
Hmm... they must be betting that the age glut at the top is going to be dissolved this year. I doubt it. It feels as if the list is slightly on the conservative side. Farrakhan was on it before? I think Lyndon LaRouche would have been the better pick in the political crackpot department. I really like the shoutout to the forums.
-
Neat. I don't think he's at death's door but I wanted to see him on the list eventually.
-
I like it. Certainly better than average odds.
-
Apparently the committee REALLY wants to see him dead.
-
Nicholas Roeg!
-
Oh is it 2019 now? Boo...
-
Just added the first new name to my longlist after submitting all my teams. It's Des O'Connor.
