I think it might be dementia-related.

The death of Alvin DeGuzman prompted me to arm up for next year's competitions. A first B-Team draft is ready now and it promises to be even more unique-heavy than the last two years (6 and 7 uniques, 2 and 3 of them hits, so far). I'm unhappy with a couple of placeholders like Jacques Chirac and Christy Dignam. But I think I have a pool of about 50 people I can do something with. Recovery from surgery will slightly impair me in the next two weeks. Hopefully, I can get some first Deathrace/Hare's Deadpool/HPDP/Death by numbers drafts ready in that time. I still don't know how to approach next year's competitions "conceptually". I mean, I want to prove that you can get to 20 hits with some low-hanging fruit, but which team shall it be? The main team or the B-team? I also want to win, and I also want to get unique hits. I think I can't get it all done. Also, now I hope some of the people on my main team draft die, so there is more room for unique talent. I mean, everyone is going to pick Gord Downie and Leah Bracknell again, if they survive...

Same picks once more - last round for me, thanks!

Was on my shortlist as I expected a Guardian obit.
-
Honestly, I didn't expect him to obit, but then I see that the Daily Mail is now also copy/pasting Reuters wire articles.

I'm sorry as well. Dogs have always been a part of my life.

Not only is there a Tun Tin, there's also a Tin Tun. I pick Tun Tin.

Hmm, interesting team, that Fallen Sparrow. Won with a couple of very old people and a few must-haves. But then, the scoring was different then.

Look where there others started in their first year. Nobody began as an expert.

Ah, Dreswky in the Dead of 2017 thread... ah well, I think it's ok to post it in the general thread and the topical thread.

Too bad I don't have a jack of hearts. It would have been a Royal Flush with him, Cosgrave, Smith Hart, Glen Campbell and Vanessa Goodwin.

Liam Cosgrave - my queen of hearts - is dead. He had a couple of takers. Obit should follow very soon.

Like I always do, too, you confused Bob Seger with Pete Seeger.

Yes, he died in Berlin. German media is reporting it as well.
