She got someone (presumably a "journalist" from the Daily Mail) to film her open brain surgery: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-4682506/Beauty-vlogger-stage-3-cancer-FILMS-brain-surgery.html

Just wait for Leah Bracknell's ritual suicide on her upcoming birthday.

Could be, the operation was a while ago. But for me, it was news.

CEOs are probably the most hubristic people about beating cancer.

Jon Underwood, re-inventor of the "Death Café", opened in London, has died suddenly of leukemia at 44: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2017/07/10/the-founder-of-death-cafe-has-died-but-his-movement-to-accept-the-inevitable-end-of-life-will-live-on/?utm_term=.ee1831426d92 Also, there's a facebook page of a "Death Café Berlin". Hmm, I need to do some research.

Athletic Bilbao defender Yeray Alvarez has cancer: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40537552 Whatever happened to that 18-year old brazilian player who was diagnosed with cancer late last year? (By the way, it's, again, testicular cancer. So I assume he dopes like all those other sportsmen with testicular cancer.)

Hm, so I only just realized that this weekend there was the first "Cancer festival" in the UK: https://www.964eagle.co.uk/news/local-news/2324177/uks-first-cancer-festival-to-be-held-in-surrey/ Among the speakers were Shameless pick Sophie Sabbage, DDP regular Kris Hallenga, and SirCreep's pick Mo Haque.

It was both, actually. A business trip on Friday that turned into leisure... as expected... I didn't get to see a whole lot of Poznan, but the marketplace was very nice. Lots of renovated old buildings. But I missed a couple of landmarks, but there simply wasn't time! And food and especially alcohol were EXTREMELY cheap. I couldn't believe it.

Lech Walesa has heart trouble: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jul/08/polish-president-lech-walesa-hospital-solidarity Edit: Hm, I think I'm not the first to post this, sorry.

Had to look at a couple of my picks now, especially the rarities I found last year, Lord Henry Mountcharles and Sir Owen Glenn. Glenn is doing fine, and feeling well enough to battle in court. Lord Mountcharles however is doing not so good.

Thanks Shaun! 25/60 now. I think other people have caught up quite a bit in recent months. I'm not sure I'm still first. But then, without a time limit it simply depends on who is the last hit. One wrong pick and you're out. I think I should have gone for more ALS/dementia types. They're not as risky as cancer people.

I considered them for my B-Team. Them and Hitler's great-nephews. But then there were too many better picks.

gcreptile replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I have thought several times of creating a thread about Sisters of Mercy frontman Andrew Eldritch. I think it has the potential to become a follow-up to the Richard Sullivan thread, in that it gets more busy the less there is to talk about. -
Italy so full of crazy people he cannot tour there anymore: https://consequenceofsound.net/2017/07/morrissey-reportedly-cancels-italian-tour-following-confrontation-with-police-officer/

Incredible how he always ends up in highly dramatic situations.

As you might have read already, Aretha canceled a couple of concerts. Those who couldn't see her at the Toronto Jazz Festival, will supposedly get another chance to see her next year at the same event: http://www.lefigaro.fr/musique/2017/06/29/03006-20170629ARTFIG00250-trop-malade-aretha-franklin-contrainte-d-annuler-un-concert.php She's also preparing to record a "final" album with Stevie Wonder.

Gene Conley, curiously both basketball and baseball player, dead at 86: http://www.eagletribune.com/sports/local_sports/former-celtic-sox-pitcher-gene-conley-passes-away/article_78c0441e-61b0-11e7-919f-775d0a8648ff.html He won the NBA and baseball championship and is one of only two people who won two championships in America's big four (baseball, basketball, football and.... ice hockey?).
