Top London DJ, DJ Daredevil, who was diagnosed with cancer just as his career was about to take off, dead at 38: http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/inspirational-and-brave-london-hiphop-dj-dies-after-blogging-cancer-battle-a3580256.html He also had an "inspirational" blog.

ohhh...kay.....

She has aged ten years since the Loose Women interview. It's eating away her substance, and while she's doing ok now, the final stage of decline will be quick.

Last year, I managed to simultaneously occupy places 1 and 4, but that was in January.... And while that was better than it is right now, I think my teams will in the end, on average, do better than last year. Virtually, my teams are occupying places 5 and 9 right now, after Smith Hart's death. Next year (if I am given the opportunity), I really need to focus on having that one super-duper title contending team.

Checking how many Miss Americas are still alive... 1942 (Jo-Carroll Dennison, aged 93) 1940 (Frances Marie Burke, aged 95) 1937 (Bette Cooper, aged 96) Those are probably the oldest ones.

Venus Ramey, Miss America 1944, and thus a bit of a WW II Idol, and later the first Miss America to win a political campaign, dead at 92: http://www.dailyindependent.com/news/ashland-born-miss-america-dies-at/article_8934ecdc-60e3-11e7-84b7-6389ab297e4e.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_Ramey

Sunny was hospitalized twice last week: http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2017/0702/627676/wwe-hall-of-famer-tammy-sytch-reportedly-hospitalized-twice-in/ Reason isn't clear, but her life is a mess, it seems. Obviously, the wrestling fans here know more.

I'll be in Poland next weekend! In Poznan.

His wife, Bonnie Bartlett is still alive, too. But slightly less obitable.

Bus carring elderly passengers crashes into lorry carrying mattreses on a German motorway. 18 people die: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jul/03/several-feared-dead-after-coach-bursts-into-flames-after-crash-in-bavaria

Indeed wrong thread, but he was a sort of German Cliff Richard.

He was even more bold, as he also picked Stephen Hawking... While that might turn out not to work after all, I actually like that Shaun goes beyond cancer types. He also has an eye for emphysema and Alzheimer's. That said, I think we're now getting a good handle on the ALS types. Once they've exceeded the 5 years since diagnosis, they become good targets. I think that suggests that Steve Gleason might be a good suggestion next year, and Jerome Golmard the year after that. That reminds me..how is Fernando Ricksen doing? Ah yes, financial troubles and a greedy ex-wife: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/scottish-news/1105450/rangers-legend-ricksen-claims-ex-wife-appeal-delayed-divorce-case-after-terminal-mnd-diagnosis/

I don't think that his ability to speak is critical. Lauren Hill also could still speak when you could no longer stand watching her. I thought the stumbling at that honor ceremony was far more important. However, watching him move does indicate that he's still doing ok. Well, his survival wouldn't make a lot of difference in all competitions, except for those who jokered him (Honestly, msc might have drawn all the ill luck of a decade into one year. Maybe he's lucky in that it will balance out in the future. This year is already ruined, and just imagine al-Baghdadi doesn't obit...)
-
Neat suggestion. Obit-wise, being voice of KITT is enough.
-
Interesting... not sure he'll die this year. His hands aren't shaking. The wheelchair isn't unusual at that age. But obviously his lungs are failing. How long can they last? Will be interesting to see.

I replace X-Pac with Matt Cappotelli.

I thought you were going for an Olivia-Kirk-hate fuck scenario.

Ha! I thought about posting that as well. The story is almost like that of Debbie Blackhurst, another gran-with-terminal-cancer. Meeting Adele was on her bucket list. She died early this year but didn't obit.

I guess his chronic leukemia is under control and of course, he's frail, he's very old. I thought he'd be long gone by now but maybe he's another Billy Graham and lingers on without an end in sight.

Cricket Thread. Only Mad Dogs And Englishmen

Carrick keeper Gordon Browne recovering from a brain tumour: http://www.newsletter.co.uk/sport/cricket/cricket-family-so-supportive-during-my-cancer-battle-says-carrick-keeper-gordon-browne-1-8036086 Feeling good right now, but it was high-grade gliobastioma. So it is likely to return and kill him. -
First mentioned DeathList entry is David Rockefeller. Nr. 1 on the wishlist is George Soros... as one could have expected.

Now Hvorostovsky has cancelled his engagement for the whole upcoming season: http://www.sunherald.com/news/health/article158785584.html

RadGuy and msc apparently don't have any Aces... tough luck. But then four twos also make a lot of points.
