I only just saw that. I hope they quoted me.

He just wants to get that 4th Oscar with his final film.

Hard to tell, I think. Brain cancer usually gets really bad when the people having it, speak slurrily, or move their eyes weirdly. Does Downie do that yet? Also, statistically, one of the "locks" this year, be it Bracknell, Downie, King Michael, or Meads (not Christie anymore, obviously), may well see 2018. For the sake of my own team, I'd want Meads and Michael to do that.

He wants to slow down: https://www.radioinfo.com.au/news/alan-jones-‘slow-down’-after-multiple-health-scares So far, he's had prostate, skin and brain cancer, the "deadly" e coli virus, several blood clots, and multiple operations on his back and neck. Edit: Apparently a bit of an Australian Rush Limbaugh.

Yes, there's not yet the eerie thinness in his face, which Stefan Karl already had in that one hospital pictere.

On the topic of Rugby players, or well, Colin Meads, Scottish rugby player Doddie Weir diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2017/06/20/former-scotland-lions-lock-doddie-weir-speaks-battle-motor-neurone/ I admit, it's more a possibility for 2022.

I actually wonder if the "Stefansson" of Stefan Karl counts as a last name. Icelandic people don't have family names. Björk's name for example, is Björk Gudmundsdottir, meaning "daughter of Gudmund". They are so few they don't need them (or they wanted to hide that it's all incest).

Also, "complications from Parkinson's". Seems like people die from it in their 80's. Did anyone ever live with it to his/her 90s? My grandfather died from it at 85.

Lately, I wonder if the UK is suffering especially heavy losses compared to other countries. And then I wonder if that's caused by, and that's another theory, the high celebrity-per-capita ratio in the UK. I'd argue that no other country on Earth has so many celebrities per capita as the UK. You have the whole nobility. And you guys also invented pop culture as we know it. But even beyond that, I think no major german newspaper would write an obit for an ex-bishop like the Telegraph did for Michael Perham. Or maybe it's just perception bias because of this forum.

Just to make it explicit: So we all experienced Memory loss today.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
gcreptile replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Ah, the movie is just an excuse to listen to the songs. And there's Meryl Streep, so it's ok. Or so I thought. -

Ok, so I watched Mamma Mia! yesterday. And well, ABBA really were the biggest Pop group ever. -
The light sensitivity obviously comes from Cocaine abuse.

The "chancellor of my childhood" (blergh) is gone. I never liked him, though I guess that part of it was just juvenile resistance against authority. At least, he wasn't quite as bad as Reagan and Thatcher. He got German Reunification handed on a platter and mismanaged it somewhat. I guess he gets some respect for advancing European unity, but the Euro came too soon, which is being felt across Europe for a decade now.

Bad miss, in my opinion
