Polly Haydock, cancer mum and a Shameless reject, but picked by four DDP teams, gets more support from Peter Kay: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/peter-kay-live-blackpool-tickets-13046937 He already staged a charity show for her benefit which catapulted her into the news in the first place, now there'll be a second one next month.

Her blog saw two updates last week, the latter one from today is just a poem, the one before that is longer, but doesn't tell that much new: https://somethingbeginningwithc.com/2017/05/13/not-just-an-ordinary-day-sky-clad-and-loving-it/#comments She differenciates between "healing" and "cure", with healing meaning everything that makes you fell good in a spiritual way and "cure" apparently being something she knows she cannot obtain anymore. Judging from the comments, she was dancing naked around a fire last week. There's a photo, but I don't know if it relates to that event.

Recently, there were some rumours on the health of Jiang Zemin, but he dispelt them with a phone call to a school. Only a phone call, though, and the article mentions that previously, he used public appearances to refute those rumours: http://www.scmp.com/news/china/policies-politics/article/2093955/former-chinese-presidents-school-call-seen-response

John Cygan, Hollywood bit actor, but more importantly, a video game voice actor, dead at 63: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/metal-gears-solidus-snake-voice-actor-passes-away-/1100-6450053/ The angle of that article is his role in the metal gear solid series. I haven't played that...but I have played KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic), and he was Canderous Ordo there. He had a wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Cygan

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
gcreptile replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I'm not at home right now, but it's a bit more than 3pts. I had his probabilty of dying in 2017 at 60%. Plus a small chance of an unnatural death. So he's at 6,xx points now. -
I had my doubts about his "I'm close to dying" routine, especially since he did the same at the end of 2015. But apparently, it's for real. Ah well, one aspect of our game is that you're never completely wrong. Eventually, they ALL die.

Hm, does sound more like 2018 to me, at least he can still walk. It looks like Glen Campbell is a year ahead of him on the road to oblivion.

The yodeling Romanians did appropriately well. I hadn't known about the difference in the scoring system before though. I mean, obviously the song was much more popular with the people than with the juries. If the mix of these two votes had resulted in 1-12 points the romanian song would have done even better, I think. Possibly Moldawia, too! Belgium did better than I intially expected. But I've heard comments on how her performance got better with each time. I was surprised at the love it received from the semi-finals live audience. You could also tell that Portugal would be winning after semi-finals. I'm also reading how the "deepest" song won, following that singer's commentary on disposable music and such. But honestly, the Italian song was much deeper. Portugal was just different, and cute, I guess.
