My list updated for a couple of economists. That theme team is now overtaking the main team of that year. I also took the liberty and assumed three more deaths in Shameless 2016. Now 3 are left with Connie Johnson going soon. But Jake Bailey is going to be fine for at least 60 more years.

So a list of the missed entry.

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
gcreptile replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It's ridiculous that I have msc's team barely making the top 20 when it could have been a winner in every year except last year. These past 2 years have been a revolution in deadpooling. Only last year has, not just the number of hits, but the quality of hits begun to matter. A random nonagenarian might actually turn out to be a bad pick (Soares could turn out to be one if Bert doesn't win). And a team of random nonagenarians with 20 deaths is not enough anymore. Still, it looks like even this year, getting 20 out of 20 will prove to be too hard - though I think that a couple of people might actually do it if they try to maximize the number of hits, not just the points. I think I might have been able to field a team with 19 hits this year, if I had disregarded the chance of a unique bonus with a couple of hits (Kobayashi, Hvorostovsky), or an unnatural death bonus (Spiridonov) and simply had chosen those that I thought were surely going to die (especially Meads, Skellern, Hewlett). I still would have picked Stefansson though and if I had to guess now, he'll survive the year. -
Valeri Spiridonov no longer no. 1 target for the world's first head transplant. It's now going to be a Chinese guy: http://www.newsweek.com/head-transplant-sergio-canavero-valery-spiridonov-china-2017-591772 Though I think I read that on this forum before...

Nick Boles on his recovery and possible comeback: http://www.bbc.com/news/election-2017-39843069 Actually, I believe he may be a bit premature. I think he's forcing it too much.

A charity marathon runner raises a whopping 800 pounds for Greg Gilbert... success? https://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/news/marks-marathon-run-raises-over-800-for-cancer-appeal/ The bowel cancer has spread to his lungs, by the way.

Interesting voice, it sounds like a song that could be played on the radio. I think the song would be better without the forced eurodance beat (though it might boost its chances in the ESC). I'm thinking of something around place 8-10, but it depends a bit on the live performance.
-
Hmm, not only do I remember that song, but it reminds me of ANOTHER "should-be-winner" sung by a well-nourished woman: Having listened to the songs with better loudspeakers I now like quite a couple fo them, for example Yodel It! by Romania. The Icelandic song is very interesting, but the ESC is the wrong environment.

I thought Loretta Lynn was the Katharine Hepburn of Country.

Ahem, they have to born between 1936 and 1952. Many of your people are actually too old - though it's probably not an advantage. Edit: oh, is this the next game already? Editedit: Ok, I get it now.

Hmm, no. Adolph Kiefer actually was on my longlist, no. 1162. I must have done some research on him some time ago.

Adolph Kiefer, gold-medal winning swimmer at the 1936 Olympics dead at 98: https://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/news/legendary-backstroker-adolph-kiefer-passes-away-at-age-98/ Probably a DDP pick, let me check... Edit: No. Hmm, but somehow his name rings a bell.

Ah well, still a sensational result for your first year. Take a look at the older DDPs and see how Spade and DDT started... It all has to begin somewhere.
