We like to complain about the Daily Mail, but The Mirror is far worse, and (was) my secret weapon. If you recall, last year, Shameless got the early lead with two Mirror obits. And for this year, The Mirror just recently reported on Irfon Williams, and they also mentioned the case of Aundrea Bannatyne who just announced a couple of days ago that the doctors cannot do anything for her anymore (Belfast Telegraph). Williams and Bannatyne would put Shameless at 113pts...

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard
gcreptile replied to gcreptile's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I have him at 7th place, so it wouldn't surprise me. I already have Kobayashi at 5,6 expected points though, not that bad (after all, I picked her myself), but still a bonus of 4,4pts if she becomes a hit. And The Dead Cow would gain 8,8pts with Kobayashi as joker. So a jump to 4th place if everything else stays the same. -
Ah, her funeral was today, I recall. Well, I take that kind of obit - though I didn't get one in the identical case of Iain Reid, whose obit, let's be honest, wouldn't have mattered the slightest bit. I now think Shameless will crack the Top 20 in the end. Though my rolling scoreboard won't show it yet, with Shameless being at "only" 136,59 expected pts. That's still 4pts behind msc who stands at 140,94pts under the assumption that Sasha Lakovic will not obit. Just imagine if the popular picks Christie, Downie, Bracknell do not die in 2017 after all. Suddenly, Shameless becomes a contender. Somewhat depressingly, Shameless now has 91pts and is at 4th place.

Yes, I posted that rumour and it might have been in 2015 already because I think I checked if anybody picked him in the DDP and I seem to remember that someone did.

I think his general constitution is now so weak, his doctors think that everything could kill him.

The recent entry of Mao Kobayashi's blog was surprisingly translatable (into German): https://ameblo.jp/maokobayashi0721/ She had a blood transfusion which alleviated her heavy breathing. There's a picture of her. She has inflammations and anaemia. 3-4 months left? -
Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
gcreptile replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It may be time for the working class and the liberal progessives to part, party politics wise. The post-materialists, feminists, globalists, latté socialists and the like should join the Liberal Party - which would push their economic libertarians aside. Labour should shrink down to a "true" representation of the working class, which might include a couple of "politically incorrect" attitudes from time to time. Without your electoral system, this might have happened already. -

I saw that picture last week, with a lot cut out. Right of Benedict (from our point of view) is his older brother. To his left is the president of Bavaria. It looks like Benedict is just an old person, no real health issues. That makes me think that his resignation had other reasons.

The Sultan of Kedah is 89 years old now, rumours of ill health, turns 90 in November. Edit: Ah, King Saud died at 90, of course. So he barely made it.

Interestingly, if you don't count the years the monarch spent in childhood, Elisabeth is at 2nd place, behind the recently departed King of Thailand. For some reason, only very few monarchs become nonagenarians. At the moment, I can only think of Ramesses II (roughly 90 years old) and German Emperor Wilhelm (92).

Deadpooling perennial Barys Kit apparently lives in Germany, I didn't know! Here's a german article on his 107th birthday from last month: http://www.fnp.de/lokales/frankfurt/AEltester-Frankfurter-wird-107;art675,2541326 His carers say he's in good shape considering his age, and very sociable. So yes, off with Barys Kit from my Rotten Deadpool team, and on with George Bush Sr. -
