Michael Forgey, producer of "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" has died of his rare cancer on March 3rd: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-producer-passes-away/1100-6435442/ He was one of my picks for the Deathrace.

Not any more - he's dead. http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/daddy-cool-guitarist-ross-hannaford-dies-20160308-gndj6t.html Another gcreptile unique if and when there's a QO. Third Hit in eight days for the B-Team. Let's see if an "australian guitar legend" (Wikipedia) gets an obit, especially it the Guardian focuses more and more in Australia. I was very surprised that he was a unique pick, since it was a suggestion by DDT. No F'n way that obits. I have tremendous doubts Ray Columbus will obit much less a no name from a no name band from down under. I'll send a can of coffee to the charity of gcr's choice if he obits. SirC Now which charity could use that coffee the most? Give it to a charity for the homeless, your choice.

Mail obit, as mentioned in the other thread I can't believe he got one. I guess one could say that he had about as much fame as Michel Delpech, but that Australia is simply more obitworthy for the english press. I was counting on a Guardian obit though, but I take what I can get. Not anymore! Right now, it's "The "B"-Team. I have the riskier (but more valuable) joker though.

This bit sounds a bit dodgy to say the least The closet felt sexually assaulted and acted in self-defense. -

And I was literally just in the process of going through the list again to make my pick... nobody scores.

Indeed, spectacular...

Told you, Obama strikes again! RIP.... didn't like her, but she probably looked forward to death as it allowed her to be united with Ronnie again.

Bob Dole still very active and giving an interview to Newsweek: http://europe.newsweek.com/bob-dole-donald-trump-cruz-explain-your-letter-431828?rm=eu He is losing his eyesight and will undergo medical tests soon. He shows up daily at his law firm. He endorses Marco Rubio after Jeb Bush's departure. They actually ask him whether he believes that Ted Cruz is the Zodiac killer...

He dedicates himself to another YEAR of carriage driving: http://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/650154/Prince-Philip-horses-commit-not-stopping-old-94-queen

He throws a first pitch during a visit in Texas to see his Alma Mater play: http://www.chron.com/sports/aggies/article/President-Bush-throws-first-pitch-for-Aggies-6872402.php

I'd say he counts just as much as Bebo Valdés or Chavela Vargas who are in the list. Besides, whoever made it also added Steve Jobs who died three days after a goal. True, basically, every day somebody dies. So the same is true for days on which Aaron Ramsey doesn't score. someone famous dies, Nikolas Harcourt is famous. So yes he counts. Of course, he's not Bowie/Rickman famous, but a bit more famous/renowned than other peope on the list.

Does Nikolaus Harnoncourt count? Probably not really...

Minimalists (and other classical composers/musicians)
gcreptile replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList Forum
Yes! Two unique hits with two conductors in two teams, Boulez and Harnoncourt. I suspect this abandoned market of classical musicians will get more crowded next year. -
Conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt is dead and a unique hit for my "B" team.: http://www.tagesspiegel.de/kultur/rebell-pionier-weltstar-dirigent-und-musiker-nikolaus-harnoncourt-ist-tot/13059658.html (german link) A qualifying obit should be up shortly. Edit: The Dead Cow has it, I picked two conductors in two teams and both were unique hits! Edit: I'm facing a bit of (justified) animosity because of Shameless, but I also had some top notch research that went into the other DDP teams. 6 unique hits so far. Let's see how high the "B" team gets.

Alan Greenspan turns 90 today. Still relatively active as a commentator, but getting a bit gloomy, like here: http://www.valuewalk.com/2016/03/alan-greenspan-bullish/

He left hospital and went home to die, according to this article: http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/paul-daniels-returned-home-see-7501109 His son shares the story. The doctors couldn't tell whether he had "weeks or months" to live. The tumour grows rapidly.

She had a nr.1 hit on the UK country charts with a cover of Ace of Spades. However, I didn't know that these charts existed before. And I wonder how much you need to sell to get to nr. 1. I wouldn't even expect a Daily Mail obit, but maybe the Mirror, the Sun or the Daily Star.

ZsaZsa... Billy Graham... Joao Havelange... it's about time... So I guess with the next update all the "easy" pickings are baked into the scoreboard. "Easy" meaning, I always added up the points for Crowe and Feek onto my score anyway.
