The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

Trash paper writes about a split between Sandra Bullock and her partner: https://metro.co.uk/2023/08/11/sandra-bullocks-split-reported-by-magazine-after-partners-death-19318030/ I mean, technically they're right, it really is over! (channelling MPFC here...)

    Internet Celebrities

I like the theory. The most likely alternative would be a suicide pact.

    Jonnie Irwin

He fell at home: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/leicester-news/jonnie-irwin-shares-injury-picture-8666984 Doesnt seem that dramatic but one could read some stuff into it.

Oh yeah, you're right, first one of the named ones in the poll to go. Who would have thought... ...that is, if it's true.

    1. Jimmy Carter

I got 3 facepalms from user "mymango" for suggesting that Jimmy Carter's situation is not that urgent (in May and June). Whoever that is, I was right, you were wrong.

    Political Frailty

To be fair, a lot of these hospitalisations are "check-ups". The Indian subcontinent likes to overdramatize these events. Once you reach a certain age, you're always at the doctor for something.

    Princess Bajrakitiyabha of Thailand

First class deadpooling tip: The estranged son of the current king has returned to Thailand after 27 years: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/aug/08/thailand-king-estranged-son-surprise-return-royal-family-succession-vacharaesorn-vivacharawongse Princess Bayrakithijabha (?) was the inofficial crown princess, are they now introducing the son to set him up to replace her? Maybe we're now months away from them turning off her life support.

So... What Games Are You Playing?

Well, yesterday I actually had to use the heavy tank two-hand-weapon method for the very first time, because archery was too slow and the ancient dragon that lurked in front of my tower burned me to a crisp. I died about 20 times, no, probably 30, tried poisons, ebony arrows, all kinds of shouts and tricks, but it didn't work, because there was no place to hide. So at some point I just decided to run towards the dragon and use the two-handed weapon. The skill is now around 80 as well, but it's been the only time in about 300 hrs of gameplay (200 hrs back in the 2010s, 100 this time, so far) where I HAD to do it.

Federico Bahamontes receiving a Spanish national sports award in 2014: My wildcards are now all dead ... maybe a secret bonus :)? Edit: Article to confirm that he received it, and that it is what I claim it is: https://www.esciclismo.com/actualidad/carretera/32371.html Edit 2: Oh well, I post that picture as well, just to be safe.

    DJ Casper

It was stage 4 cancer back then. It never really goes away. But to pick him this year would have been divine inspiration.

So... What Games Are You Playing?

Oh well.... a couple of months ago, I restarted Skyrim, which I got far but never finished 10 years ago. I am now trying to finish it BEFORE Starfield comes out in September. I am totally hyped for it. However, yesterday Baldur's Gate III was released. I bought it and it seems pretty magnificent. Well, summer doesn't seem to be really happening in Germany this year, so there's some time to play. But, there's a lot on my plate!

    Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets

Well... I don't know. I'm kind of leaning towards waiting for a long time... and then maybe, if there's still no known age, I'll go with the highest age that's plausible to me. Judging from the one picture, which might be a a couple of years old...I think I'd go with the 50-59 age bracket.
