Typical BILD sensationalism, but Depardieu pretends to be needing a wheelchair, but is still able to urinate on a parking lot: https://m.bild.de/unterhaltung/leute/leute/grard-depardieu-pinkelt-am-flughafen-an-ein-auto-84720510.bildMobile.html

Jonnie hasnt posted on Instagram in 11 days which is the longest gap in ages (or ever). I think we're getting close to the end. Those good pictures of a week ago were older, I think.

What Are You Listening To Right Now?

Only in France can they get choir boys to serenade a chain-smoking chansonnier with a sex song as his biggest hit. -
Jake Abraham, minor British actor, but Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels among them, has stage 4 prostate cancer: https://www.nationalworld.com/culture/television/lock-stock-and-two-smoking-barrels-jake-abraham-cancer-diagnosis-4220508 Has had it for years, probably, and it's pretty advanced. Undergoing palliative care, but that might sound more dramatic than it is, imo. Not a "weeks left" situation, but also not THAT many years left.

We could turn this thread into a regular "good night" thread.

Her brain tumours have shrunk a little. She's not close to dying yet. Think it's a will-she-wont-she make 2024 situation now.

What Are You Listening To Right Now?

A nice number, yes, I like the synths quite a bit. They get better and better as the song goes on. The singer is a little too school boy-ish though, like a British conservative version of Trent Reznor. -
Oh I see, good to know!

I assume the Mutulu Shakur update is coming, but I think my number of hits is wrong by one? I think I have 6 hits now, Lobinger, Harris, Sakamoto, Kundera, Ben Ferencz, and Gordon McQueen. But the score seems correct. I was already wondering how I could get so many points with so few hits.

Did you notice the recent general lesbian check-out? Lilli Vincenz in June: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/trailblazing-lesbian-activist-lilli-vincenz-174628548.html Marge Summit in May: https://blockclubchicago.org/2023/05/22/lesbian-icon-marge-summit-dies-at-87-if-you-messed-with-the-lgbtq-community-you-were-messing-with-marge/ And recent DDP hit Anita Cornwell. Maybe my DDP pick Andrea Gibson is next? (No, she isn't...) The score record is easier with fewer players => more uniques. If this had been 1st or 2nd round, I guess it would only be 18-20 points. But Mat London might not have been the final hit.

Haha, yeah, when you google her there are more hits for infamous Season 12 contestant Sherry Pie...who turned out to be a sexual predator after filming but before syndication, so they awkwardly cut him/her out of most scenes.
-
It's true, you made me pick her.

If there is one lesson one can learn from Sir Creep, it's to give fewer fucks about personal spats on the Internet. Maybe it comes with age, though.

Cheri Pies has died, too. Already on July 4th. This is a bit much, isn't it? https://publichealth.berkeley.edu/news-media/faculty-honors/in-memoriam/cheri-pies/

Russian general Sergei Surovikin hasnt been seen since the Wagner rebellion and is said to be "resting": https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russias-general-surovikin-is-currently-resting-lawmaker-says-2023-07-12/ Depending on how final the rest is, he might become a DDP hit for my theme team.

I looked at the Czech Wikipedia page, and went through the list on the bottom... good luck! (my good deed for the day)

About that second case, BBC says this: "The individual in their early 20s was first contacted anonymously by the male presenter on a dating app. They say they were put under pressure to meet up but never did. When the young person hinted online they might name the presenter, they were sent abusive, expletive-filled messages." Depending on which dating site it is, the first two things would be expected. And the third one is basically blackmail. There's nothing there.
