I do, but unless her pregnancy lasts for 4 more months than expected, then I won't score any points...

Handrejka, it appears that you have 21 names listed (10 men & 11 women). Hopefully, you'll be allowed to choose which person you want to omit from the list.

The 'Ive not heard that one for years'! Thread
Predictor replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Came across my absolute favourite songs back in the 1990s on Youtube. With just one week to go, has anyone besides me submitted a team yet?

Shetland & Orkney should become independent Nordic countries! I mean, just look at their flags, Shetland's is an inverted Finnish flag. Orkney's flag looks just like Norway's if you substitute white with yellow.

Don't worry about that, Toast. The post was more along the lines of "Hey, I remember an old friend of mine who used to be good at X (whatever the thread is about). Dunno what he's up to nowadays." And I'm paraphrasing here, of course.
-
Sorry, Toast, I couldn't find anything relevant online in recent years. Most of the stuff about him are from several years ago. Oh, there's this one person, an old friend of his, in another forum that wondered about him as late as December 2016, but it doesn't really tell us anything. The thing about non-celebrities (or even for some celebrities) is that you usually have to go to great lengths IRL to find out if someone is dead or not. Depending on the country, confidentiality jurisdictions may limit the amount of privacy-related information you can obtain if you're not a family member. A Dutch phone book directory would be a good place to look, but that's better suited for someone living in Netherlands at the moment. What I find interesting about this thread in general is it shows us that Internet has become so ingrained in our every day life that online absence has almost become the near-equivalence of real life disappearence. I suspect that this type of development will continue in the future.

I happen to know Magere Hein's real life identity, but I would never in a million years reveal it without his permission.
-
Et voilá! The truth is that I have always browsed/contributed here moderately. Too busy with real life, but also the fact that I'd probably lose my mind if I read about celebrities' illnesses day after day after day.....I'm still young enough to not wanna think about death on a daily basis. Maybe on a weekly basis, mind you. So, I could go on long periods without making any posts and it wouldn't be any source for concern. On the other hand, I can imagine that it could be 'weird' if those who participate in the forum regularly suddenly and abruptly stop being active. Like Magere Hein, for example. I hope he's doing well, but you never know.

He is a unique pick for my team, so if he does die at some point during the year, he would be worth 10 points for me. Which is the equivalent of a non-unique pick aged 30-49. Of course, being the insufferable twat that he is, he'll probably deprive me of such a deadpooling joy.

The latest on Larry Pickering, from last month: https://garryburnsantidiscriminationactivist.com/2017/02/21/ex-nrl-and-manly-sea-eagles-star-ian-roberts-calls-out-larry-pickering-for-homophobic-pillow-biter-line/ Two excerpts from the article: Ryan Keen, Gold Coast Bulletin February 21, 2017 12:00am GAY ex-rugby league hardman Ian Roberts has told terminally ill Larry Pickering to repeat “homophobic” remarks to his face as the latter shrugs off a discrimination law suit. But terminally ill Pickering – told by doctors it’s a matter of when not if his cancer returns – is refusing to go to the grave quietly, saying he’d knock Roberts out and couldn’t give a stuff about court action. “I’m saying what I think, if you don’t like it, screw you,” Pickering said. and ON HIS DOCTORS They removed one of his lungs last year and predicted in August he would be dead from cancer within three months. He refused chemotherapy and says now he’s offending them by still breathing and putting on weight. “They are angry I’m still alive … because it makes them wrong. I kept getting into blues at hospital with the surgeon who was going to be cutting me open and I thought to myself ‘I probably shouldn’t argue with this bloke – shut up, Pickering!’.”

Vladimir Zeldin died in 2016 & Roger Hanin died in 2015. -
I think that Gunnar Möller in particular should be able to get an obrituary (my made-up word for "acceptable" obituaries in DDP). I mean, it's not every day that you have an actor who once killed his own wife! Oh, and he's also portrayed Adolf Hitler on at least three separate occasions during his 70+ year long career.

We can't have a Clive Dunn thread without a Clive Dunn smiley, so here it goes: This was fun, I think I'll throw in a few more:

Whom Are You Tarring With The Epithet "twunt"?
Predictor replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Hmm. I think there's some sort of glitch in the system because of the update, since it says in my profile that my first ever post here was made on 8 November 2012. But I distinctly remember it being made much closer to Christmas than. I don't even remember writing that post, even though Rochus Misch & Deanna Durbin did end up in my DDP team. Weird. https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/8085-ideas-and-possibilities-for-2013/?page=23#comment-179805 -
*It used to be possible to switch to and from the BBCode editing mode. Does this option still exist? *The "On today, gone tomorrow" text used to be a few font sizes smaller (I think). *What's up with the "Online Users" page showing what each logged in member is doing at the moment? Every stalker and/or serial killer will have a field day using that feature... *Members with really long usernames end up having one or two of their last letters one line below the others (i.e. WednesdayAddams). *The Leaderboard feature seems pointless. Competing in things is fun, that's why we have a ton of deathpools here. To give awards to whoever accumulated most likes in a day would generally favour those with high post counts. For example, member A makes 31 posts one day and gets 12 likes in total. Member B makes only one post, but it happens to be a brilliant one and (s)he gets 11 likes. A wins, B loses. I liked the previous Hall of Fame page where individual posts with the highest amount of likes were displayed. *I liked that the newest created threads would show up on the right side of the main page in the previous version. *It's good that the chat room is working now, but in the previous version, one could easily see who were in the room before entering it yourself.

1. Where are our signatures?? 2. Why are all avatars made to fit a circular shape when images are often rectangular? 3. Where is the "your liked contents" feature that we had in our profiles? 4. Why doesn't it say which member liked a certain post? 5. Why the depressing black/white/grey color scheme? 6. Where is our friends list located? 7. The "About me" page info in our profile shows next to our posts. So those with really long ones, like The Unknown Man, creates a scrolling marathon. 8. Is there no FULL list of members, sorted by either post count or registration date? To be continued...

Ayem Dibi Mezejbord (1999-2017) has died today. He was prominent in the field of communications and had been publically terminally ill for the last couple of weeks.
