    Coleman Falls?

Wow...this topic was created in 2006....4 years before Gary Coleman died after falling down the stairs. It's like the thread-starter was subconciously predicting Coleman's death, despite the thread not being about him....Eerie, ain't it?

    Hollywood Possibilities

Here's my take on the stars from the list: Luise Rainer: At 103, she's super old and in a 2011 clip, she was in a wheelchair. I think she will die this year, unfortunately. Norman Lloyd: Since life expectancy for American men is 4 years less than the women, he's sorta the male equivalent of Rainer. Thus making him super old as well. But I think he might live to see 2014. He appeared sharp in a 2011 interview. Joan Fontaine: Obviously inherited the same awesome longevity genes as sister Olivia, but I haven't seen a recent interview/lclip of her. That's why I think she won't live as long. Efrem Zimbalist Jr: His dad lived to be 94 and for some reason, I always think that musicians live super long lives. So he won't die this year. Mickey Rooney: He imitated his old friend Milton Berle by debuting as a child and having an 80+ long career. Miltie died when he was 93; will Mickey imitate that as well? I'm undecided on that one. Abe Vigoda: Abe is like a video game player; everytime he dies, he presses the PLAY AGAIN button and voila...there he is, still kicking, whether it's The Godfather or Good Burger. Carol Channing: I think she has the energy to keep on going for quite some time...Well, unless ♫Marry the mole♫ still haunts her in her dreams. Christopher Lee: He's very active, but I'm afraid he's gonna exhaust himself too much. Also, he's 2 metres which means that his heart has to work even harder which could strain the 90-year old body. Either this or next year, I think he might go. :/ William Schallert: I'd say he's got a couple of years left. He appears to be calm and collected which could work in his advantage. But not too calm either, he's one of the least lazy actors out there. 363 titles to his credit is no walk in the park. Norman Lear: I don't know much about him to be honest. Sid Caesar: He looks super old, I'm sorry to say that the comedy television star might pass away this year... Eva Marie Saint: Now here's a lady that could go all the way to 100. No doubt about it. Lauren Bacall: Hmm...in 2 years, I think. Just a feeling I have. Hal Holbrook: I thought he died this year, but turns out that was Milo O'Shea (their eyebrows...). Anyways, he appears to be healthy. George Kennedy: A bit on the heavier side, and we saw Durning die last year. This time, it might be Kennedy. Dick Van Dyke: Let's make another comparison: Andy Griffith had a successful show in the 60's named after him. Andy died in 2012. Dick Van Dyke had a successful show in the 60's named after him. Will Dick die in 2013? It's about recognizing patterns... Joyce Randolph: Not that familiar with her...

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2014

Speaking of obese people...is it just me or has Hugh O'Brian gained a lot of weight since becoming a senior citizen? He's the dude to the left, in blue shirt. He's 88 years old, so I think he could be a good pick.

    Death Links

There's a user in IMDB called jaypay111, who constantly notifies when a classical actor/actress dies, regardless of whether it's a famous one or a total unknown. How does he keep up ever single day? Anyway, it's very useful to keep track of his updates every now and then. http://www.imdb.com/user/ur3489215/

    The Dead Of 2013

Hey, Jean Stapleton has passed away (1923-2013) http://www.nytimes.c...anted=all&_r=1 In total, 5 teams in the ddp picked her, although not as a joker. So that's 5 points to each of you!

    Olivia De Havilland

Looks like guest guest has finally signed up then Who? I've been member of this site for approximately 6 months now...but with another name. I've never posted here as a guest... That last part about Miss Kent was maybe an exaggeration, but I'm definitly confident that Olivia isn't anywhere near death...I looked all over the net to see if there were any ailments or such, but couldn't find any. Her father Walter was 95 and her mother Lilian became 88 so longevity is clearly in her genes.

    Olivia De Havilland

Hahahaha, really guys? You take one of the healthiest nonagenarians in the world and you put her on the death list not once, not even twice, but 6 (!) whole times? Oh well, you guys are the experts but l'm telling you...She will reach and surpass fellow actress Barbara Kent's age one day. I've noticed some interesting similiarities between them: *Both were actresses a long time ago *Both were brunettes *Both were petite *Both were really cute

    Discuss The 2013 Deathlist

But at least you had the courage of your convictions and played her in your DDP and so can bask in the glow of points earned. Well done. Thanks. At this rate, I'll have 9/20 deaths by the end of the year, which is a decent result for a newcomer. Next year, l'll probably manage at least 20/20...

    Discuss The 2013 Deathlist

In 8 December 2012, I wrote the following text in the "Ideas And Possibilities For 2013" section: Deanna Durbin: Actually, we don’t know anything about her health. No one’s heard from her since 1984. Which means that she MIGHT be really ill. Think of this as a gamble, a 50-50 chance. Well, looks like you should've listened to me.

    Derby Dead Pool 2013

She was still active whenever she was first picked on DDP Yes a few entries could do with updating as the Queen is described as not a popular pick but she must be heading for the drop forty in the next two years. There's well over 3000 names chosen, lots of whom are new this year. Perhaps someone will volunteer to go through them and identify which need updating, write the updates and edit the site. In the meantime, perhaps the rest of us should just shut up bitching. No bitching was intended. I realise the enormity of the task and we are all grateful to TMIB for all his hard work. The incongruity of the description with the then long list of picks rather made me smile. I'm guessing the post wasn't intended as me as much as you but I do hope I didn't come off as bitchy either. Was moreso just answering Roibot's question. My ire was primarily directed at Roibot, After I posted I realised I was being rather hypocritical as I've had a bitch or two in the past (oo-er) (most recently about the spelling of Roobarb). Perhaps I should have been less hasty. Then again, ... Look, it's not just about updating information that's changed during the past year. Princess Lilian had been ill for a VERY long time, at least 6 years. Not having time to update 6-10 year old information isn't an excuse. l bet she hadn't been active in decades...Since l'm Swedish, l gotta protect our reputation and stuff like that
