Genuinely thought she'd go on for another couple of years. RIP Betty - another Deathlist classic departed.
-
Shocking omission from this year's list.

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
Imelda replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I've spent a fun 3 hours clearing up the wife's puke, putting the sheets in the washing machine, turning her over so she doesn't do a Bonham on me, and clearing up more puke. God knows how she got this fucked. I hope you all had a less eventful NYE. -
-Incidental character in a try-hard sitcom. -A potato -Poor man's Matt Berry (I appreciate your effort - but she really is a nobody)

If we could Bunga Bunga as much as that shitpipe, we'd all live to be 100.

Middling list - I reckon I'll outscore them again this year. But it's an improvement on the last couple of years at least. DvD as number one, they must be trolling us??
-
A decent pick, this one. UP YOURS
-
Number 1 pick?? Yeah whatever, idiots.
-
Waste of a pick - this cunt's going nowhere.

Interesting one. From my (admittedly limited) knowledge of US justice I would have thought that in a 'normal' case the Feds would be all over her to get more info on other names in return for various reductions and luxuries. Then again, the upper crust do tend to operate on a code of silence much like a second rate bunch of mobsters. But GM is very much a nouveau riche in those circles. This is - of course - not a 'normal' case. Given that there's a former President has his name in the mix. Not to mention many others. Could run and run over the next few years. Won't surprise me to read in 2023 that GS is living the life of comparative luxury if she keeps quiet.

17/50 for me - after ticking off Bob Dole I realised I missed Renee Simonot earlier in the year! Easily my best performance.

Is there a function to block/hide certain posters on the forum? I can't see one. I'd like there to be. Frankly there's one individual whose posts I would be happy to never have to see ever again.

It does the job I need and gives me a few seconds of my life back. Nothing's perfect

Hope he didn't saffer too much

14/50 - pretty happy with that haul so far, assume at least one more to go before the year ends. Think that might be my highest total if so. My record-keeping over the years has been terrible though.

Do you know I dimly recalled there being some sort of Bough-esque thing that happened in connection with him years and years ago. Thanks for the memories (or mammeries, in his case?).

He's done a fine job from a Gas point of view keeping the Teds away from the play-off places, long may he reign at Trashton ☠

Anyone who thinks that the crown will go straight from Brenda to Wills is living in cloud cuckoo land. The only way it'll possibly pass early is if Brian goes properly ga-ga. Not much sign of that in his recent bloodline, so dream on!

I initially scoffed when I read that but yes it seems to be correct http://www.morethanmindgames.com/2010/06/26/an-enduring-football-myth-the-weight-of-the-ball/ Since 1937, the dry weight of the ball has been specified by Law 2: 14-16oz. Prior to that, the rules governing the ball’s dry weight specified something lighter – 13-15oz. What has changed are (1) the material from which the ball is made, and thus the ability of the ball to avoid weight gain during the game through water absorption, and (2) the aerodynamics of the ball i.e. the smoothness of the surface. The new ball isn’t lighter in of itself – which is what people seem to be assuming: but the new ball won’t get so wet in play. So in the broad sunshine of the ’66 World Cup Final, the famous orange balls were the same weight as the ones we see today. And so it has been on every dry day, on every dry pitch, since the balls were first standardized in the early 1870s. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4123437.stm Heading a modern-day football is not significantly safer than an old-style leather ball, a study by ballistics experts has found. Experiments conducted by scientists at the University of Glasgow showed the impact created on players' heads had a similar force. High-speed cameras showed both balls collapsed to about half their diameter. Ballistics engineer Alan Birkbeck said it was like being struck by 10 bags of coal for 3/100ths of a second.

It's a corrupt gangster state, with a lot people only where they are because of him. They need him alive for as long as possible. When he croaks we could see some horrific civil war there.

Charlie Rots. Will the devil have any sympathy?

With the sad passing on Tim Brooke-Taylor aged 79 (b. 17 July 1940) I think it's time that the Goodies have their own thread. The remaining members are; Graeme Garden (b.18 February 1943) Bill Oddie (b. 7 July 1941) Garden took a break from Sorry I Haven't A Clue a while back amid rumours of ill-health but seems to have returned in fairly good spirits. He's narrating the TBT tribute programme on Radio 4 just now and sounds pretty good for a 77 year old. Bill Oddie, however, sounded pretty awful; but maybe that's partly down to a terribble internet/phone connection?
