Absolutely no way. I can't even imagine anyone that voted for it really believes that. I don't really do 'favourites' per-se, it might change as the mood takes me, but for a best song of the 80's and arguably one of the biggest game changers today's choice off the top of my head doesn't even feature in this list as it was never number 1. Say what you like about John Lennon and there's plenty of people of the belief that he wasn't as nice as some of his lyrics, but to his eternal credit the man isn't responsible for 'Pipes of Peace' or 'Mull of Kintyre'. It's ridiculous to suggest that Yoko split them up though it's a commonly enough cited reason for hating her. That's ascribing them with little will of their own in the matter which is ludicrous in the extreme especially given they weren't exactly short of an opinion or two of their own. Name a band that hasn't had issues of personal friction with or without 'girlfriend/boyfriend' interference. Her godawful caterwauling being passed off as music is a better reason or her (and his....) abysmal treatment of Julian.

24 are ok or better even if none are on any playlist of mine. Of those somewhere around 5 are innovative and different enough to be considered 'classic', I can appreciate class even if it's not exactly my thing. 1 is going to attract my -6 mercilessly. And even that is not awful if viewed dispassionately - it's more that I personally detest the thing and the very genre it's a prime example of. At the risk of a Rolfism, can you tell what it is yet?
