How come this years deathlist is doing so poorly?
Book replied to Charles De Gaulle's topic in Dead Pools
Perhaps this lull will lead to the committee rethinking that more obvious candidates will be chosen in the future, that the list will be open to people like Deborah James, George Pérez or Gary Burgess, for example. They would have scored well this year, the chart would have had 7 hits in 7 months and no one would complain now -
The oldest woman in Germany died on July 16 at the age of 113: Josefine Ollmann from Itzehoe near Hamburg, born on November 11, 1908. https://www.bild.de/regional/hamburg/hamburg-aktuell/aelteste-frau-deutschlands-gestorben-geheimnis-von-113-jahren-80798878.bild.html She is now replaced by Anna Cernohorsky, born on September 13, 1909 (born in Austria but living in Germany).

I never thought it would happen!
-
But we really meant it well
-
I already gave up our list for this year anyway

The Berlin architect Ursulina Schüler-Witte, who, together with her husband Ralf Schüler, decisively shaped the face of West Berlin with their buildings after the Second World War, is dead. The architect died in May at the age of 89. Together they designed brightly colored buildings in the 1960s and 1970s in the typical Pop Art style, such as the Schloßstraße underground station in Steglitz with its blue, yellow and orange-colored wall elements or the iconic orange and red tower restaurant in Steglitz, better known as "Bierpinsel" and the International Congress Centrum (ICC). https://www.morgenpost.de/berlin/article235857537/Trauer-um-Berliner-ICC-Architektin-Ursulina-Schueler-Witte.html

I agree with you. I had to smile at Sophie Freud's obituary because I quit smoking almost exactly 10 years ago. So cigars no, shlongs probably yes...

Mike Davis in for Susie Steiner.
-
As already mentioned by maryportfuncity in the authors thread, Susie Steiner's date of birth seems to be 29.06.1971 - I read that somewhere, too. Speaking of which, here are the dates of birth of Jana Bennett (06.11.1955) and Diane Berberian (14.01.1958) as a supplement for the biographies.

I replace Andy Goram with Mark Fleischman (Studio 54), just in case this game is still running @Lafaucheuse

At the moment I'm actually quite happy, I'm in 7th place (7/20, 93 points). However, if I had kept Tom Parker on my team, I could be in 2nd place. You can imagine that this annoys me a little bit! It would be great if I could finish the year in the top 10 again. But the opponents are very strong and unfortunately a few of my picks too, so wishing and hoping, as always
-
OUT: Derek Draper Jeanette Lee Joe Exotic Steve Carlson Vaclac Klaus IN: Andy Goram Don West John Cannan Pervez Musharraf Vicky Phelan
-
My shadow list 2021 had 13 hits by the end of June and 20 in total. So let's wait and see if I can improve further
-
In for Deborah James: John Cannan, please.
-
At times, her overrepresentation in the media was almost annoying, but what she ultimately achieved deserves every respect. I think she ended up having the time of her life and experienced an incredible number of special things. RIP Dame Bowelbabe.
-
The woman, because she's the Joker for my French team
-
I replace Jean-Louis Trintignant with Andy Goram.
-
Second hit for my French theme team; didn't joker him this year.
