The Spice Girls became the first music act to have their first six singles reach number one on the UK singles chart between 1996 and 1997. Westlife became the first music act to have their first seven singles to reach number one from 1999 to 2000. I guess this is hard to beat.

Halleluja! Our first hit!!! In March! But better late than never! The very first DL from 1987 (with only 31 places) had its first hit on June 2nd (Andrés Segovia), but it's not really clear if this list was released on 01.01.1987. But this is also the DL with the latest hit ever. Second to that is the DL of 1992, when the first hit came on March 23rd (Jim Joel). There are 3 other DLs where the first hit of the year didn't came until March: March 3rd, 2003 (Hardy Amies) March 20th, 2004 (Queen Juliana) March 6th, 2007 (Ernest Gallo) The fastest DL is the DL of 1998, when Helen Wills Moody died right on New Year's Day. And, of course, not to forget the least successful DL with 40 places and not a single hit: 1991. So, the D-A-CH-DL is on its way

One of the best German love songs: Stella Maris by Einstürzende Neubauten feat. Meret Becker. Still love it, so beautiful, so tragic! I still got the CD. From 1996... time flies really fast... -

Same with me, she is sooo unimportant and overrated! Same with Kanye West and his thread.
-
Trevor Peacock wasn't chosen by the Committee, but Bibliogryphon, CaptainChorizo, Prophet, Steve, The Daredevil, The Quim Reaper and WEP thought they would do.
-
Hat-trick for Ian St. John because of gcreptile, RoverAndOut and WEP!
