    The Dutch

Being absolutely serious for once, my condolences to you and your countrymen, Vaagheid (and Hein). I grew up in Tasmania and was there at the time of the Port Arthur massacre back in 1996, so I know the impact these events can have on a community.I got a call this morning form my father that my family wasn't in the shopping mall on that day.He had schizofrenia and spend some time in a mental hospital. He was locked up in a funny farm for suicidal tendencies, the media claim. I've read no reports about what mental illness he exactly suffered from. I'm sure we'll learn. As far as I'm concerned I see little reason why people should own or handle fire arms anyway. Those toys should have been taken from the boys ages ago. I don't expect we'll live to see it happen. What most bugs me most about this shooting is its meaningless. That, and the media frenzy, inevitable as it is. regards, Hein

The "Bodies on the Beach" Serial Killer

Nah!!! He'll have a good alibi. He was at home making posts on this forum. Now there's an interesting thought. Would a judge (or jury) accept forum posts and their date/time stamps as well as their IP addresses as evidence? regards, Hein

    A Famous Belgian

Translation: "Brewer Pierre Celis died last Saturday evening. The man who re-introduced famous witbier Hoegaarden in the 1960's has lost his fight against cancer. Celis was 86. The "Witteke" seemed on its way to a quiet death when farmer Celis bought the brewery in Hoegaarden. He decided that from then on this beer ought to be served in the now well-known glass, resembling a jam jar. Eventually Hoegaarden is drunk, not just in the Leuven area, but all around Belgium and abroad. Later Celis crossed the channel. In Austin, Texas he opened a new brewery. To the original Hoegaarden recipe he brewed "Celis White", another success brand. Just a few years ago Celis returned to our country. He had sold his brewery in the States. He lived in a nursing home for a short while." Actually, there's a bit more. As written in Celis' Wiki article, he crossed the Atlantic, because he was forced to sell his brewery to the DevilInterbrew after a fire left him penniless. He couldn't brew his stuff in Europe anymore, so he moved to the US, to succesfully brew a bootleg. regards, Hein

I don't think it's that bad. A bit of fiddling with the knobs gave me this bomb shell about Rutger Hauer. We should have known, considering the opening shot of Turkish Delight. regatds, Hein

May I suggest Dutch actor Rutger Hauer1? As far as I know, he's fit as a fiddle, but at 71 he's getting on a bit. 1 and my childhood hero, as he played Floris: Gods, I feel almost as ancient as Josco now. regards, Hein
