Former Dutch Minister of Internal Affairs, leader of the conservative party VVD and amateur musician Hans Dijkstal no longer has a sax life. Or rather: no life at all, as he died yesterday at 67. No cause of death has been made public other than that he "had been ill for some time". Perhaps a mortal case of ennui. regards, Hein

Just saw an interview with Vera Lynn on Dutch TV, recorded last winter. The old bird looked in fine form and even sang, remarkably well for her age. No signs of impending death. regards, Hein

None of the above. If he's wanting to make proportional representation part of the deal, there'll be no coalition. France or Germany? regards, Hein

It's different for coffee and tea. Coffee is only palatable when hot. Lukewarm coffee is shite, well-made or not. I do drink tea, rarely, and find that well-made tea is drinkable, even when cold. Where would you rather be: in heaven with your relatives or in hell with your friends? regards, Hein

Call me thick, but what's all this Mormonology all about? Did I miss something? I agree. It's nice doing picture assasinations, but what we really need is a good hit on the list. regards, Hein

Unfortunately I missed him for DDP, but I'm glad that fraud is gone. I'll keep an eye on his successor in crime, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. Too bad he's only 48. He should have known. regards, Hein

Also on some news sites now. It seems she wasn't very popular with death poolers. No hit in DDP. regards, Hein

This doesn't seem very fair, why wasn't the bull granted the privilege of performing, wikipedia informs me, a tercio de muerte on the matador? Good question. I also think that if the bull manages to kill the the bullfighter, one of the matador's ears should be cut off and be given to the bull. regards, Hein

Not exactly "the Halibuts", but rather a very small band of idiots calling themselves Revolution Halibut. regards, Hein

Do you suppose Dave gave him a hug afterwards? It's the Christian thing to do. Is Cameron one? A Christian, I mean, not a thing, which he obviously is. regards, Hein

"No single reason" could account for Mr Kumaritashvili's death during training for the Games. I can think of one: speed doesn't kill, acceleration does. Negative acceleration in this case, but killing nonetheless. Oh, and perhaps Mr Kumaritashvili just wasn't so good a luger. regards, Hein
