Nothing like this, I suppose.

I have no idea how much risk there is that SS Richard Montgomery's cargo will actually explode, but I rather doubt that burying it under sand will accomplish full protection against the damage such an explsion might cause. After all, neither sand nor water compress well. The explosion's energy has to go somewhere, and most of that will be spent on accelerating that sand and water in all directions up and sideways. It'll slosh. Dangerously so, tsunami type, though not at that scale.

Scientists, Inventors And Techno Wizards
Magere Hein replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Ooh, that's a biggie! I'm not totally sure, but I guess he was an A-List name in the IT world. Now I'm tempted to ask you... are you an IT guy? He was, and yes, I am. I did some of my first programming exercises on a mainframe from a competitor, a university owned VAX-11. Such mainframes as Amdahl designed were still in general use then, and some two decades later I did some actual (i.e paid) work on one of those IBM dinosaurs, still working for a large bank. I particularly remember the paperware that came with it: a filing cabinet full of it. -
Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets
Magere Hein replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
I don't negotiate with terrorists No, you don't, and I don't think you should. Our travelling guest has a point though. This is a political conflict, currently in the war stage. To end that war, a political agreement must be found, and negotiations are part of reaching agreement. No party in the conlict is ready for that. For the hawks out there: there's no way of winning this war. -

I know that tree! Well, I paid it a visit. When asked about its health, it chose to remain silent. [voice=Mrs. Entity]Some animals do that, 's called sequential hermaphroditism. E.g. the Green swordtail (Xiphophorus hellerii) and the Common slipper shell (Crepidula fornicata). I wouldn't like that.[/voice]

Oh dear, full frontal cuteness. If you like her with clothes on......she's even better in Room at the Top! Not on youtube, as far as I can see. Anyway, as I presume Dead Wait knows, or at least should know, an important part of the joy of sex is the unpacking of the gift.

Dl Committee Spotted In Antwerp
Magere Hein replied to Dr. Zorders's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Dear Dr.Zorders, It is my duty as secretary of the DeathList Standing Committee for Public Relations and Customer Complaints to inform you that DeathList Central Commitee denies all rumours that DLCC is or ever has been in Antwerp. The picture is a calumny and a slanderous fraud. They also wish to discuss terms for information on how you got posession of it. Yours truly, Magere Hein Secretary, DeathList Standing Committee for Public Relations and Customer Complaints C/O the Bar of The White Horse 1-3 Parsons Green, London, Greater London,SW6 4UL -
Crap, crap, crap, crap. That sums up my sentiments nicely.

Well, Schmidt didn't muck about. Is Zsa Zsa listening? Anyway, I mourn this fine German statesman, and the facts that I didn't pick him for my DDP team (I did in 2012) and did so for my IDP team.
-
Bob Dole, because he was on my 2012 team, just as Schmidt.
