    The Weather

The way things are going, you're never going to get back! Particularly as ITV news are reporing the apocalypse as we speak... I'm home alive, them southerners shut the place of work early and allowed me mucho time to trundle back. Even bought meself a bag of logs when I stopped for a coffee so's I don't have to go out into the freezing garden and raid the stash under the hedges. Weather!! Loada fuss about nowt IMHO. glad you got home ok...I was really worried I've long since noted that if the South gets a little bit of snow , its National News...if the North is in the grip of Polar Blizzard conditions , no-one in the media cares....

    Deathrace 2009

You've done alright. I was barely out of the blocks! This new chap's doing well isn't he? 51 points in the DDP and it's only February 2nd. We might have a new favourite here... Dont worry....I have him in my sights....

    Iain Cuthbertson

Iain Cuthbertson. Tall Scottish actor, best known for playing Charlie Endell (a sort of Scots proto-Arthur Daley character) in LWT's 1971 series 'Budgie'. Also recognisable as the wrongly accused father in 'The Railway Children' (1970) ooh...yeah...forgot he was in The Railway Children ! But its the character he played in Budgie that we all remember.....Surely EVERYONE can do a Charlie Endell impersonation ? I know I can....but I haven't for about 30 odd years !

    The Dead Of 2009

I saw that too, it did say "citation to follow" after the entry and it's since been deleted. Even though I have Henry on my list, I'd like him to at least make it in the top 10 oldest in the world before he carks it lets all hope this is a false report....

You're right, but in the wrong way! so we all agree.....no more mention of " ...... "The Great One EVER on this site ever again ??? Oh I'm sure Tony Benn will be nominated one day The thing is though...Tony Benn could pass away , and no-one will notice . M**** The Great One " may well pass away in ...say....30 years time , and such an event will be off the scale in terms of grief.

    Boy George

Very little as he's built like a brick shithouse. Not sure he is really....he's more like a huge tub of lard . I cant remember exactly the last piccy I saw of him , but he must have clapped on a good 4 stone recently . TV footage of him smoking (presumably) outside the court prior to getting sent down makes him look a decent candidate I reckon . Is it just me , but does anyone think the sentence is a tad on the severe side ? What, for beating someone? No way - they shoulda locked him up for five and made him listen to 'The War Song' 24 hours a day, the fat C-word. But did he really want to hurt him? Did he really want to make him cry? Dunno, but I'd give Everything I Own to know what went on. yes.....all very amusing I admit . But one gay ties up another gay....bit of an argument....handbags out....PRISON ?????

    American Football Players

Both Tennessee and the Giants lost at home. It has been a weekend of upset victories for the underdogs. Can you imagine the Premiership having Liverpool, Chelsea and Man United all losing, at home, to the likes of Everton, Wigan and Portsmouth, on the same weekend? European football would be so much interesting with a salary cap. I'm not sure its down to the salary cap . I think the cap helps avoiding any team becoming a "Chelsky" or a Manure" for year after year (which is what makes the NFL so interesting...the worst team one year could get to the SB the following year ! ) The interesting question this year seems to be why the top seeds have been falling at the end (even with home advantage ) The Eagles have proven that its "form at the right time" that is the key to winning matches . Looking at the game yesterday , Manning was awful . Maybe it was because he had a week off....maybe the team was just collectively on a downward slide that started a month or so ago . Dunno . But McNabb was fantastic...the team is well up for it....and I would expect the Eagles to go all the way now !
