Good call that.....well played. Madge though is a different person to MJ and the Purple One. She is I think quite normal (for her situation). Drug abuse? Dont think so.Life threatening illness?Possibly...but that could be any of us. I wouldnt be putting her on any DP lists for a while. She will outlive me I feel .

Oh dear....poor lass. My big toe is currently giving lots of pain.I hope its not terminal though.I was tested about seven years ago for gout. Negative apparently . Maybe just old age ? And 61 isn't old.....

Its a shame I feel that we no longer have the calming influence of somebody like Maggie(The Special One). The whole world would be so much happier if she was still alive.

I finished watching a very decent three part documentary last night(still available to view on BBC I Player) . Simply unbelievable footage of police,journalists etc spouting out sexist ,racist anti working class rubbish . It was amazing this guy was ever actually caught ! We learn mid-way through episode two that "The Special One " got involved after numerous police failings and gave them her views (orders). Now , I'm not saying that it was Maggie who solved the case , but it is certainly yet another example of how wonderful and intelligent she was....WAY ahead of her time.

You need to check her out MrW. Brilliant actress...dodgy politics. Clearly never bothered with plastic surgery when the facial lines started to appear , so certainly looks older than she actually is. Its her performance in "Elizabeth is Missing" that is most relevant though. Can you get to see that in the States?

Just listening to Radio 2 (not my choice obviously....I'm more thrash metal ) . I think its some up and coming singer (Tom Odell?) being interviewed , and he is name dropping. "I was back stage last week with Elton John and Joni Mitchell,,,etc...etc.." No mention of any health issues .
