No, but this is - UK Yahoo

I don't think it's particularly fair to have, say, Variety as a standalone QO, because that's a website that covers a specific field of interest. It's like including Autosport.com or Cricinfo etc.

Dowson was utterly clueless. Wilkinson a big step up. I'll definitely have to take part in next season's pool.

Oldest Living football league players
Octopus of Odstock replied to Octopus of Odstock's topic in DeathList Forum
A recent report on Eric Doughty confirms he is still very well, but also that he is Plymouth's 2nd oldest living player, behind someone (who for some reason) I had down as deceased - Neil Langman (WIki - Wiki More indepth guide) is still alive. So he's been added. Doughty posts However, it's not all good news. Former Watford player Dennis Maskell died last month, https://www.watfordfc.com/news/tribute-dennis-maskell-1933-2024 EDIT - actually died 20th January https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/memorials/death-notices/death/30595831.dennis-danny-maskell/ -

Cross threading to say that Joan Freeman is not only not dead, but looking at the last photo in this link, looks pretty well. https://www.soundingsonline.com/news/adventurer-bruce-kessler-dies-at-88 She has just lost her husband of near 60 years mind, which sometimes takes a toll.

Could've put this in the sailing thread, or the Hollywood Possibilities thread, amongst others, but ultimately he was a Grand Prix driver (briefly). Bruce Kessler has died at the age of 88. A long life, well lived. https://www.soundingsonline.com/news/adventurer-bruce-kessler-dies-at-88 As well as directing four Hollywood movies, he was one of the last people to see James Dean alive and his wife was actress Joan Freeman (who looks well in the last picture on the link)

Ray Thackwell, racing driver himself, but possibly better known as the father of Mike Thackwell, has died. Also father-in-law to David Brabham. Initially competed in speedway, before progressing to four wheels and Formula 2. https://forums.autosport.com/topic/225798-ray-thackwell/#entry10553575 -

Fred Gamble, former Scavenger Hunt pick, died last night, aged 92. There are two links, but both are bot sites. FB posts from two very trusted sources are a better link for now. https://www.facebook...100094908396919 https://www.facebook...hard.prince.311 Only appeared in 1 Grand Prix, back in 1960, but as his Wiki page shows his racing career was much more storied than that, including spells in charge of Goodyear in their early days of racing, working as a motoring journalist and having a long sportscar career.

Always sad to hear of the death of an ex-Royal, but in truth, his time with us saw him vastly under-used. He went on to have a lot more success at Brentford.

Desi Bouterse dominated Surinamese politics, but in-between his time there, Jules Ajodhia was twice a vice-president, amongst other things. Because of Bouterse and an interest in Suriname, I had actually heard of Ajodhia. Ajodhia has died, aged 79. Link in Dutch. https://www.msn.com/nl-nl/nieuws/Buitenland/surinaamse-oud-vicepresident-jules-ajodhia-79-overleden/ar-BB1kLiJZ

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/u1CDZvrBkmTcgrV7/ This video on Caprio's FB page seems to have all the hallmarks of a last farewell. Frailer, very emotional and has all the aura of someone who knows his time might be nearly up.

Apologies if already posted, but I couldn't see that it had: Jennifer Leak, who had a few key film roles in the late 60's before ekeing out a long career in television, has died, aged 76. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2024/03/29/jennifer-leak-dead-young-and-restless-actress/73147024007/ Wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jennifer_Leak Could've gone in soap opera thread too I guess.

Is the question, who is the person who had the most famous partner, or is it who is the most famous widow/widower? If the latter: Jeffrey Durham David Sherlock Judy Loe If the former: The widows of Sean Lock and Rik Mayall would likely live for a while yet

Darby, Rob Burrow and Marcus Stewart in a photo here: - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-68647460 Stewart looks alright, Darby wheelchair bound... Rob Burrow - looks utterly terrible. I'd be shocked if he makes it to 2025. -
Musso is still alive, but it appears only just. From instagram 2 weeks ago: The great Braulio Musso will be hospitalized in the next few hours due to his poor health condition. The remarkable player from the University of Chile and the Chilean National Team, who is 94 years old today, is not in good health. I send from here my respects and affection for whoever was a super class on and off the court. Much strength to him and his family, in addition to those who were part of the iconic Ballet Azul and the Chilean National Team of 62'.

Likely fake. Been dead since the 15th with no new outlets reporting it? Doubt it.
