Is that a promise? You wouldn't get hassle if you didn't post false deaths, ''confirm'' already reported deaths and post a bunch of unknowns in the wrong thread. The moderators have done much to help you including pinning the 'Worth a mention' thread.
Not too mention exagerrating illnesses.
I always appreciate health news about a celebrity as long as its accurate. Iain's farcial handling of Sir Patrick Moore's hospital stay was proof of what not to do.

Iain is right about Peter Sallis being frail. I watched one episode of LOTSW (a new one) for research reasons ONLY & whilst he still looked good for his age, you could see visually that he was having a little more trouble walking. I personally think retirement home for a few years before death, but...
Frank Thornton looked excellent btw, but Jean Alexander, whilst healthy-looking has aged a bit. Everyone else looked okay. Now I've watched it again, I don't need to watch it until the next series for precisely the same reason.

Tommy Docherty, football manager, at Peter Osgood's funeral today - I can't post the image for some reason but if you go to BBC Sport & click on Osggods' funeral pics, you'll find it.
Now near 80, overweight & has always liked a drink & a smoke & doesn't look brilliant...

I hope you're not taking my job of finding news articles about DL candidate OoO... I see you have a lot of recent posts in the 2006 names that I haven't gotten to yet...Only this time, CP, just to give you a break. After this, it is back to you for salicious health & death gossip

Just about
- but I hope that this post frenzy is a worthwhile one to people as there's lots of health and/or activity updates to mull over.

Still donating money to good causes but nothing about his health. Probably as he's healthy, one hopes. -
Brief article, probably similiar to one read by Lady Die here.
Wouldn't say he's on deaths door, simply not the man he was either 30 yrs ago or 10.

At last, recent news about Pinter's health!
An excellent article, in which you can draw your own conclusions.
There are cases for being hopeful if you have on a DDP list, but equally, it looks like he may not go just yet.

Unfortunately the link is a subscription one, but Nelson is doing a radio interview this week & apparently still runs his "Byron Nelson Classic" event, so one has to presume that he is possibly another case of "Old doesn't mean dead",

Attended the Oscars, but "not what he was".
Make of that what you will.
Also quite critical re. "Brokeback Mountain", but I haven't seen any interviews recently so I don't know how he is looking health-wise.

She's been very vocal this weekend about Chai Patel's bribe to become a Lord. She seems back to her old busybody self, it must be said.

Jonatan Johansson, Swedish Snowboard Crosser. I only mention this as I watched Snowboard Cross in the Olympics last month & he came 12th. Died in an accident.
Writer Bill Cardoso. Never heard of him but some people have apparently.

Well, she appears to be dead as the Guinness World Record site has taken her off after being informed from a individual source (ie not Wikipedia). I don't doubt for one minute she IS dead, but I am kinda flabbergasted that it isn't even mentioned, not even in passing, in her local paper.

And as far as the Celtic 1967 European Cup winning squad are concerned, they too are down to 9 after Ronnie Simpson & Bobby Murdoch's deaths, though Jimmy "Jinky" Johnstone is seriously ill now.So, now down to 8.

Still no news reported anywhere of her death........
....so if Lady Die hadn't seen it, Tempus hadn't scanned it and CP hadn't put it on Wikipedia, would anyone online actually know about it?
It's made me think again about some of my choices & their "notability".

He was on my DDP consideration, I knew he was very ill, yet.. I didn't choose him.
I think my thinking was he'll live a few more years yet with the disease, but looking at the news report on the BBC, Jinky had probably lasted as long as could be expected with such a disease.
Great Shame.

WW1 vets are down to 77 now. One of the more notable ones has died - Frank Steer, who was the highest-ranked survivor, died last week.
No online obit, but the information comes from the same man who verifies the longetivity for the world records, so I'd say it was accurate.
Profile of him below.

Thanks, TF & MBA. For those of you familiar with the man, I'm sure you'll agree he's aged.
Also, very quick side-note:
Osgood himself died at a funeral. Bobby Tambling, another Chelsea legend, nearly did the same today. He collapsed with heart problems just before he was due to attend Osgood's funeral. Now, THAT would have been bizarre if he had died a la Osgood.
