Hedkandi dance label vocalist Kathy Brown suffering from stage 4 cancer.

Edit - better link here.  Breast cancer which has spread to the brain :skull:

Kathy Brown is performing again - she'll be doing her first gig since been diagnosed with cancer. Looks pretty good (if it's a recent video). Either way, maybe someone near Bexhill can do some form spotting - https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1356717388350352

  2. I haven't seen any notice of it here, but sadly, Terry Griffiths has been diagnosed with dementia - there is a link to a snooker magazine where the news was announced on Wiki, but also this post on X -

Various reports that Ian Hamilton aka Chico Hamilton, player for Chelsea, Aston Villa and Sheffield United among others has died in Spain: https://x.com/AvfcArchive/status/1792182023433474264

    DDP pick.

Nothing official yet, however I did see a tweet from a few weeks back from the club (Aston Villa) to say he had been diagnosed with dementia.

So if he is still alive, another one for the ever-growing dementia sufferers list.

Well the messages are being written by Horatio who is covering for Cecilia. Attention seeking getting more and more desperate.

Horatio and Cecilia are both the same person - Iain.

You've given him more attention than anyone else has on Twitter.

I doubt he'd take it up if he knew he was going to die soon. His mother was actively shedding patronages for years before she died... The King would have known he could have given this to one of the other royals if time was short, no?

Well, that's what I thought. The Queen and Prince Philip were doing that and Anne, Edward, William and Catherine taking them over.

  6. Honest answer? Racing drivers were still dying in the late 1990's.

Not in F1, but around that time, we lost Gonzalo Rodriguez, Greg Moore, Jeff Krosnoff in Indycar and an host of others in other racing.

Wasn't beyond the realms of possibility that the rather aggressive on-track Schumacher brothers might have had a similar fate (Of course Schumacher senior broke his leg in 1999)

I think this shows up publicly in Facebook but https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160704461072281&id=857672280&m_entstream_source=group

Rupert Keegan. Looks awful and as mentioned on the FB post has been unwell. Definitely one to watch. Would get a QO even if it's the Sports Personality round up.

Only 66 but looks far older.

I've been keeping this to myself for a while but it's now becoming clear Rupert Keegan's chances of reaching 2025 are pretty slim.

He's very ill with cancer, but he has also never lived a very healthy lifestyle.

Certainly worth considering for the Deathlist Cup, and if he makes the 1st January, he's going right in at the top of the DDP picks.

Can't get the link to work but of the Wildlife Aid facebook page.

Looks awful and now wheelchair bound.

Back when I was a lad and YouTube was barely a thing, one video I have fond memories of is the French TGV speed record attempt that took place in 2007. It was a video that fascinated me then and still does today. I decided to watch it again the other day, this time to figure out more about the 3 crew members, other personnel involved and their current whereabouts.

Found out in a French article that the lead driver and engineer (center of this photo) is SNCF driver Eric Pieczac, who was born in July 1960 and would be 63 now. Next to Pieczac on the left of the photo is SNCF traction engineer Georges Pinquie (around 70 assuming his age in this article is correct) who has since retired. Pieczac and Pinquie are definitely alive and well, both men attending mainly the "SNCF Patrimoine" (basically French railway heritage) events. The man on the right of the photo wearing glasses is SNCF traction supervisor Claude Maro who I would reckon is in his 70s as well especially as he apparently was there during the 1990 TGV world record attempt, I've found absolutely no information on Maro asides from that. Assuming he's alive as I don't think the French media would miss if one of their TGV record personnel died.

Additionally the other two crew members in the 1990 record attempt are Michel Massinon who died in 2015 at the age of 69, and Daniel Vigneau who I haven't found any info on. The at the time Minister of Transport Michel Delebarre was on board the train for that attempt as well, he died in 2022.

There was also an Aerospatiale Corvette jet that chased and monitored the train, shot a lot of the video footage actually. Couldn't find who the pilot was.

If any French DLer here has more info or can find any more leads, let me know.

I'm not French, but MatchID https://deces.matchid.io/search?q=maro+claude only shows one deceased Claude Maro, born 1938, so possibly too old to be your man.

One of the beef options had a Nectar discount, otherwise no.

Spread? well, you could buy a jar of spread or a pack of butter but it's going to do for several meals.

You wouldn't need any if you made a toasted cheese sandwich.

Very true, I bow to your toast knowledge... er.. Toast

    Sainsburys.

    Sliced deli beef, £2 - £3

    Sandwich loaf, £1.40

400g mature cheddar cheese, £3 (other cheeses are available)

And you'll get more than one meal out of that lot.

Is that with Nectar Card savings?

Can't help feeling his meal is a little dry. Probably  needs some spread which would push the cost up over a Big Mac meal deal.

    That is correct.

Has that ever happened before where the source is a valid one for QO but not written in English? Must be very rare.
