    Summer Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists

This thread "being specific to OLYMPIC medallists" in only true in the same way that the death anniversary thread is for anniversaries that are multiples of 5 years. Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists He's a dead olympian and a dead Empire Games medallist; seems to me he fits on both counts.

Could Taylforth be going for the double? Her current partner's prostate cancer may have spread. Too bad, she could probably give a decent prostate massage Is her tongue long enough for that?

    Predict Your Own Death.....

Approaching 49 but thanks to good genetics and a decent face cream I look about 34-36. I have a favourite mirror like that, too. I have a different problem with the mirror. It shows a rapidly greying slightly tubby 45 year old when I am certain that I am a healthy slim raven haired 26 year old. I was when my daughter was born. there's still a ton of things you can still do at 45 that you can do at 26 And so much more that one can't Like what? Auto fellatio.

    Gudrun Ure

IMDb has her latest appearance to be in Casualty in 2009 Casualty is always a difficult one to call because it could be anytime from early ninties onwards. The episode was The Devil You Know, it was first broadcast on Saturday 28th November 2009 as Radio Times Genome confirms (although they can't spell her name right).

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?

I've just watched it, and agree - great soundtrack, story a bit lame so far, but let's see - I'm a little bit in love with Woody. Oi! Hands off!

Ain't gonna happen, besides, I'm sure there is already a thread for her. Just found it and it was YOU that started it on 1st January 2014. Bless him; he's had a drink and been to bed since then.

    The New Dunn...

On that basis, Warren Mitchell would fit the bill, he's British and has looked ancient since the sixties. Yet somehow he doesn't seem worthy. It's a difficult one as I think DL benefited in a strange sort of way from worshipping at the totem-pole of the omnipresent deity that was Clive Dunn, but, as you say, he is just irreplaceable. I think a lot of Dunn's legendary status is down to the perception of time. Those of us who grew up in the seventies and eighties would have sat through episodes and episoses of Dad's Army understanding that the programme had been running forever (before one was born) and because it represented the war (which in 1975 was closer then than the Falklands war is now) pushed it further back in time in our minds. We would also recognise Dunn from kids TV and again assume the distance between the two was longer and then 20 years later when we start deadpooling and the guy is still alive it is a miracle. I agree Mitchell is a possibility but I think the closest is probably Peter Sallis who spent 40 years playing a retired man in LOTSW. As well as delighting everyone as the voice of Wallace. I just had a brainwave: what about Gudrun Ure? Brilliant! Having known her as Supergran when growing up I was surprised to find out when googling a few years ago that a) she was still alive and wasn't as old as most seemed to think. GUDRUN IS ALIVE?

    Political Frailty

are you kidding he looks as young as ever. I could mistake him for a man in his 20s Let's not forget that Denis Healey back in the day called him Mogadon Man and his political attacks were like being savaged by a dead sheep. This is Howe true to form.

    By-Election Bingo

No the House of Lords doesn't count. It is an endearing part of the British political system that we still elevate the barking mad to a position of supposed superiority. Don't forget there are a few Dagenhams in there too.

    Naseem Hamed

Yep, that's been common knowledge for a while actually. Still you'd get some decent kebab off of that I don't fancy spit-roasting him now.
