The details that appear on the flight ticket, departure board etc should be U22203. U2 means EasyJet (just as AF means Air France) and 2203 is the flight number. However, they put the air traffic control prefix EZY on instead. So strictly speaking it should be Flight U22203 whose pilot calls up ATC as EZY14MY. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airline_codes A typical British Airways service is flight BA297 whose callsign is BAW297. They quite correctly don't put BAW on the ticket. -

My mum regaled me and others many a time about my birth in the family home. The midwife attended on a Saturday morning and brought about a safe delivery. The following day our family doctor paid a visit (on a Sunday ) to make sure everything was OK and gave my mum a half pint bottle of Guinness. She didn't like Guinness, so she gave it to my dad.

When they are a decent size (like those seem to be), I spread some Crucials Hot Stuff sauce on them, add cheddar, mozzarella, tomato etc and bake 'em in the oven for 15 minutes. Lovely. -

I searched for the term funer* (the * meaning followed by anything). It makes searching a whole lot easier.

Ahhh, I'll get stuck into the comments later. Often some witty stuff in the Grauniad BTL. But this is well worth its own thread on here. Don't we have one? I once started a thread on songs featuring death, but I can't remember if there's one for funeral music. If not, we need one. Indeed we do: https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/2073-funereal-music/

It turns out 41 died and 37 survived. It looks like the plane was struck by lightning (which shouldn't be a problem in itself) and returned to Moscow. She appears to have suffered a hard landing followed by a bounce and then a second hard landing sending the rear undercarriage into the fuel tanks. R.I.P.

An Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet departed Moscow for Murmansk and returned on fire. Initial reports suggest all passengers on-board were evacuated, but several were injured. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48171392

She was on a military charter from Guantanamo Bay to Jacksonville Naval Air Station. She overran the runway by about a thousand feet and ended up in the river. Weather wasn't good; thunderstorm overhead with 0.63 inches (16 mm) of rain falling in the 23 minutes prior to landing. The runway isn't grooved so there were puddles.. She landed with a tailwind rather than into the wind. There are reports of service families' pets and possibly working dogs in the hold - below the waterline.

All 54 seats on Leicester City Council were up for grabs; Labour took 53 (an increase of one) and Liberal Democrats took one (no change). The incumbent (ceremonial) Lord Mayor lost his seat. He was the only Tory on the council. -

I've just returned from the trolling station; there were 11 officials and five voters (including me) in the room and there wasn't an awful lot of strikes through the names on the register. -
