I like the word 'river' but it's bugger all to do with 'Ukraine'. Trinketed Uranian.

Nope. Don't take the clue literally.

A dishevelled trinketed Uranian goes high and low in this 1960s classic.

The Cardinals Of The Roman Catholic Church
Cat O'Falk replied to Pagad Ultimo's topic in DeathList Forum
Cardinal George Pell was unanimously convicted by an Australian jury on Tuesday of sexually abusing two choir boys while serving as Archbishop of Melbourne. Apparently the good people of Australia aren't allowed to know about it, the Daily Heil tells us. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6489637/Catholic-Churchs-senior-cleric-removed-Popes-inner-circle-sex-abuse-claims.html -

I'm an example.

Me too. Bingo.

You are correct and @charon "you were born to get this right" would have been my next clue.

Nope. They were a four-piece 'American' band and the writer is American. The minor hit would be about the time you were starting school.

Sorry, no. It was written by one man who went on to have a minor hit with it himself.

This UK number one single in the 1960s by a boy band was a minor hit for its very famous singer songwriter in the 1970s. Just in what his fans might be heard to say, is a clue.

Are you sure he didn't morph into Johnny Depp.

O.K. I've thought of a question that didn't take too long. It's a favourite song (remember I'm an old bona queen of fabularity), its title is rather appropriate given my atrocious mental health state and it was number one in the UK singles chart on my 21st birthday (look on these hallowed DL pages and ye shall find the relevant information). Get yer skates on good people.

I didn't realise I'd have to do the next one. It'll have to be tomorrow. Do you want to do another in the meantime? Or someone else can have a go.

I thought it was him in the tea-rooms I popped into a few years back.

Couldn't this be merged with the Tuskegee Airmen thread as he had a link with them. It doesn't get used much and it would be nice to see it used more often.
