He's on his way back to work. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3292732/Cancer-fight-Alagiah-way-BBC-Newsreader-set-return-six-o-clock-bulletin-fortnight-18-months-off.html The huge national sigh of relief blew our dog over the garden fence! I'd like my next door neighbour to blow me over the fence.

Which just happens to be the antipodes of Texas. Hmm, interesting.

Have a read of this. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/314060 Thanks but I've tried all of those methods and the furthest I've got is it reappearing for half an hour and then disappearing while I imported a CD. When you say it disappears do you mean just the icon disappears? For the internal cd drive the icon dissapears from "This PC" and the cd drive becomes unusable (can't import or play cds) but then I'll try a regedit or run a free program I found on line to repair it and it'll return for ten minutes or an hour. The external drive works on someone elses computer (which is Windows 7) but can't be recognised at all on mine. Weird. Regedit can be fraught with problems, did you save your settings before altering them? Have you tried Windows recovery?

Aha, a real "oude hoer1"! 1Dutch slang for someone who constantly talks bollocks. It reads like something Charon might say to describe her.

Spelling and grammar should be kept out of room 101.

Nah, 2nd January in order to share the thunder with Frank Muir.

Didn't you have problems when you first joined regarding Sir Creep and Sir_Creep or summat like that?

*COUGH* It sounds like you need to see The Doctor.

Wow! Is there a time warp going on? Charon and Toast's posts weren't there when I posted.

Pickering is definitely a Cadbury's if he makes such sweeping generalisations. I'll wager there are lots of foster carers who would like to "take care" of him. Always happy to learn the local lexicon. I've given this one long thought (5-10 seconds) and still don't get it. What's it getting on about? SC

Died on the same day as the film went on general release in Irish cinemas. Suicide of the "life can never get better than today" type, maybe? Maybe. Either way, Panti was inconsolable on hearing the news.

I'm using a Toshiba laptop running Windows 8.1 and Google Chrome. Whenever I want to post a You tube clip, I find the clip, copy the address from the bar at the top and paste it in the reply box. I don't do any editing or anything else. It just works every time.

Doesn't matter whether I leave in the "s" or take it out; the result is the same.
