Doing a bit of digging and assuming her parents were married, her mother's maiden name was definitely Deane and there's only one record of a marriage between Deane and Garwood from 1900 to 1983; that being Phyllis D Deane and Montague F Garwood. Montague was born in Exeter, just down the road from where Pat was born. It looks like it's Pat herself that has died.

I saw this the other day. Here's more on the story: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/feb/22/conservation-body-issues-170000-wild-bird-kill-permits-in-five-years https://naturalengland.blog.gov.uk/2018/12/12/the-facts-about-licences-for-wild-birds/

    The Dead of 2019

No. It’s grand. That’s not a frickin obit. Death notices are paid for. I'm fairly certain newspapers insist on seeing a death certificate if the announcement is placed by a member of the public but tend to accept an announcement placed by reputable funeral directors without one.

    Plane, Train And Automobile Crashes

The last transmission from the ADS-B says they were descending at 29,504 feet per minute at an altitude of 1,325 feet. There are reports of no large pieces of debris which would mean they hit the ground at considerable speed. They seem to have deviated from the usual flight path by making a left hand turn towards the bay before the rapid descent.

It's about 14 degrees above the horizon at sunset. In the video the time is to the top left hand corner and the altitude is to the top right above the NSEW compass points.

Here's the view from your neck of the woods. It runs fast forward from sunset at 1737hrs until Mercury sets at 1927hrs.

Over the next seven days the planet Mercury can be seen with the naked eye low in the western skies shortly after sunset. It's the brightest thing in that region of the sky and it usually takes on a redish or pinkish hue as it's so close to the horizon. Online Planetarium

Aboyne in Aberdeenshire has broken the 122 year old record for the warmest February day in Scotland. The Scottish record for the highest temperature in February of 17.9C (64.22F) was set on 22nd February in 1897. Today it hit 18.3C (64.94F).

    Crashing Companies

People aren't buying tickets for after the 29th March because they don't know if the flight will operate. Airlines sell tickets for a flight on the day of the flight to months in advance. How is it the fault of management if people aren't buying tickets because of the uncertainty? Of course the EU is acting like a scorned lover; divorces can be acrimonious and it was bound to happen.

It's standard procedure I think. Twenty five or so years ago an 80 odd year old pulled out in front of me; I was later informed by the police she wouldn't be prosecuted because she had agreed to surrender her licence and wouldn't drive again.
