Who Should Be On The Deathlist 2025?

I remember someone on here saying something about Alzheimers a while back bur I have never seen anything more than that about his health. He is mentioned a lot I think because not only is he due to turn 95 in March but he was a household name in Britain. He was also very active in public life regularly appearing in public and giving interviews then nearly 10 years ago now he resigned from the House of Lords and has not been heard from since. He was passionately against Brexit and spoke out against the idea before the referendum but to my knowledge never commented after the referendum as by that time he retreated from public life.

I'm doing my short-list now and 10 minutes ago he came into my head.

    Randy Moss

One of the worst cancers to get in terms of prognosis.Looking at statistics they vary but 1 year survival rate is cited between 32 and 72% and the 5 year survival is less that 25% .The fact that he had symptoms means it probably isn't at a very early stage.Really sad for someone only 47.

True but if you get a head injury or broken hip at nearly 83 it can trigger a rapid decline.

Then there was that time in 2020 when his lips and hands were severely discoloured.

    20 /20

Had a new idea for a Dead Pool.Fortunately unlike Death by Numbers it will take less input from me.Basically aim of the game is to pick 20 candidates from the 1920`s.You need 2 from each year of the twenties from 1920-1929 and you must have one male and one female from each year.Candidates only qualify if they have a BBC national news article about their death and or an obituary The game carries on until we run out of names. As soon as one candidate from anyone`s list dies the pool will be immediately restarted and it is first come first serve. You can even be a bitch and steal someone`s entire list if you wish. It is a competitive game. The overall winner will be decided when there is universal agreement that a full list can no longer be made under the requirements. The pool restarts as soon as a link from the BBC is posted verifying age of the deceased (by their own standard). No two players can have duplicate picks and the age given on BBC will be accepted as soon as the article is published and pasted to this site.It has to be decisive at the time the news breaks. As soon as BBC give an age that matches the year of birth you have given them the pool will restart. If the age they give is different to the year of birth you don`t get a hit unless it is amended before another death that meets the criteria of a hit. Person with the most hits wins: Here`s my entry. No limit to how many teams can join Male Female 1920 Javier Perez de Cuellar Clarissa Eden 1921 King Michael of Romania Carol Channing 1922 Denis Norden Lillianne Bettencourt 1923 Shimon Peres Glynis Johns 1924 George H.W Bush Mary Warnock 1925 Hal Holbrook Dorothy Malone 1926 Fidel Castro Cloris Leachman 1927 Bhumibol Adulyadej June Brown 1928 Bruce Forsyth Ethel Kennedy 1929 Roger Bannister Betty Boothroyd

  10. The endurance game of Westminster returns with Shaun once again as your host carrying on the idea started and brought to life by Bibliogryphon back in 2015. Back for its fourth parliament in 9 years the game will likely take us to near the end of the decade? How big will Starmer`s majority be? Will the Tory collapse result in some of the most popular picks in the last game lose their seat.Only time will tell. The rules are the same as before except extra points for criminal behaviour that results in a criminal conviction being added however politicians rarely seem to get convicted these days! No bets allowed especially for inside trading. On to the rules: Pick 65 (1/10) of the 650 members of parliament elected on the 4th July 2024 During the next parliament you will score the following for: -Death while in seat_ 30 points _Resignation for criminal activity - 20 points which will increase to 25 if the resigning matter results in a criminal conviction -Non criminal resignations -10 points (Reduced to 5 if the candidate stands in the by election and wins) -Correctly predicted by elections that wipe out a government majority 25 (Increased to 50 if the government collapses as a result) -Unique picks :10 points Entries open from 07:00 am BST on the 5th July 2024 and entries close on 23:59 on 14th July 2024 Good luck everyone. Yoko Ono

Whatever you think of Ono as an artist and especially a singer hearing in such stark terms who much she clearly loved John is heart-warming and heart-breaking in equal measure.I would bet she is in frail health based on everything I read but Sean is clearly holding his cards close to his chest on how she is.In his situation I would do the same but do I think she is very poorly behind the scenes?Probably but at nearly 92 that isn`t remarkable.I was never sure how she made the Drop 40 as early as she did. After the rumours this year I get it but before that just baffles me.

    Joe Biden

I don't think we will ever get a true US landslide like the ones mentioned last century.Too many states that are firmly blue or red.For example I can't ever see California ,Hawaii,Washington ,New York,New Mexico,Connecticut,Illinois Colorado Vermont ,Maryland or Massachusetts ever going red again and conversely I can't see Alabama ,Arkansas ,Texas,Wyoming,West Virginia ,North or South Dakota,Oklahoma,Tennessee,Louisiana, Kentucky ,Indiana or even Florida going blue again.

    Joe Biden

    1952 1956 and 1964 were also landslides.
  14. Sean

    Joe Biden

Yeah 84 was the last landslide.1936 and 1972 were notable too.

    Diane Abbott

Thought Diane Abbott should have her own thread.Lots of rumors of ill health and some bizarre media appearances recently (although she has never been one not to put her foot in it) but some of her appearances could be indicative of something being seriously wrong with her.Her colleague Barry Gardiner says she is coming to terms with "a long term health problem".Could be something or nothing.Has currently stepped down from her role as Shadow Home Secretary.Any thoughts people?

Comes out in favour of assisted dying.Mentions he is on the last type of chemo available and that it isn't stopping some of his 15 tumours growing but is limiting the rate of growth.

    35. Esther Rantzen

She sounds OK but wonder what she looks like as she hasn't been pictured or been on video for most of this year at least. She has said today when her treatment stops working she will go to dignitas. Definitely not one to drop next year.

    Advent Avalanche 2024

I wish you luck Joey but fixing your life and deadpooling are not mutually exclusive. You have to do what is good for you.I hope we don`t lose you on here but if we do it has been a pleasure Sir. As I have always said deadpooling as a game of prediction not of wishful thinking if done correctly. We all live and we all die.As a society we are so squirmish about death and I think deadpooling and sites like this help put that into perspective. I have come across many toxic people in my life but none with the exception of trolls on this forum are anything other than good decent and supportive men and women from across the globe .I hope you reconsider Joey but if you don`t then I wish you well

Who Should Be On The Deathlist 2025?

Dont want to say if its her or not as promised the family I would keep it quiet.Based on what I told you though that is a really good guess is all I can say.If the actresses friends or family reveal it in the press I will let you know if you are right but otherwise I really don`t want to put the name out there out of respect.Only other clue I will give it that she is wont be a unique on the DDP going forward.
