Wow thanks for that msc.Incrdible research there!
-
Yeah that was a grey area and I dont think it would work very well as would go on for many many years.Tried to compile a list of my own earlier and it was too tough.Especially when you get to many of the post 1970 years where you might as well pick a name out of a hat.

Yes.I am going to start calling it the Schlegel rule now!
-
I strongly agree. I interpreted the rule to be that people were apparently picking Prince George before he was even born or very young on the chance that he would be stillborn or die from SIDS or whatever during his first year. Their rule states that the person must be one year old. Perhaps we need a rule that clearly states the candidate must be at least 18 or 21 or whatever people feel is an appropriate age. When I launched Death by Numbers last year I originally set the bar at 199 which could include 15 year olds but some people suggested I higher it and I was fine with that and over time kind of think 18 is a better age.I also really wanted to do a spin off from Death by Numbers where everyone picks a notable individual from each year from 1901 to 1999 with 1 point for a 1901 death and 99 for a 199 death etc but I kinda think asking people to pick under 18 year olds is slightly questionable. If they are 16 or 17 I could contemplate it but it is a grey area but certainly young children no way.George Lineker being picked by DL in 1996 was way too far for my liking.I already have 3 deadpools to oversee on here so wouldn`t inflict another on you all however tempting it is.May pitch it on the Death by Numbers thread

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3681762/Should-70-banned-driving-Eileen-s-104-road-never-crash-families-asking-elderly-motorists-ticking-time-bomb.html:Saw an old unique DDP pick of mine on the telly tonight .Eileen Ash known by her maiden name of Whelan by some sources is a former cricketer for the England Ladies team between 1937 and 1949.Turns out she is also one of the oldest drivers in Britain at 104 .I always questioned whether she would get a qualifying obit but this will boost her profile.3 teams have picked her this year but she looked in fantastic shape in 100 year old drivers.Could still do exercises and Yoga as well as walking well not to mention driving every day.A possible future super centenarian perhaps!Only 3 months until her 105th!

Would be good to get everyone to pick a name from each year to be the last one standing.Would be like a reverse pool for those of us who are committed to deadpooling.
-
Although the Wiki rule is good though I have never applied it any of the pools I run.The BBC obit rule in 20/20 and 50/50 is similar though.
-
The Wiki rule is a sensible one.Prince George rule I think is unethical.Any child should not be picked in a dead pool in my opinion.

Also no #deathbedlive. She must be too ill to even tweet at this stage !
-
Her most recent tweet sounds a bit like good bye. Today? Tomorrow? Her last two hundreds tweets sounded like good bye. And she is still here. True but her husband clearly sent the last one as it is signed k which she never does.He is also said she is very weak and drowsy and that her pain is manageable.Clearly in the last few days now tops.

2025when Theresa May retires.I reckon it will be some obscure figure no one has heard of now but almost certainly not Labour.Cant see Labour getting power until at least 2030.Big civil war over the coming months will do untold damage. -
