Yeah I agree I am English but certainly veer to the right but as you rightly say Carter Is a figure than transcends political allegiances and I regard him very highly for the fact he has been resolute in what he believes over decades whilst being pragmatic in his opinions and ensuring his post presidency has been spent in the service of others rather than courting the press for brand recognition. This is certainly a sad day.Hoping his final hours/days / weeks are as peaceful as they can be.

Incredible Jimmy made 98 given that he was the eldest of 4 children who other than him are all long gone: Gloria (1926_1990) 63 Ruth (1929_1983) 54 Billy (1937_1988) 51 All died of pancreatic cancer.Jimmy apparently was the only non smoker which probably explains how he was able to live so much longer.

I think being injured and then lying for days under the rubble before dying would be worse. It was quick at least. If I had to die in an earthquake I would prefer it to be over as quickly as that.

I was in the same boat when on social media earlier. Disgusting and unnecessary to photograph him like that. Yeah judging from the photos he would have been crushed to death instantly or very soon after impact. Who the hell takes pictures of someone dead for social media though?
