eejit 9 Posted August 2, 2005 Yep, it was all a fuss about nothing: Recovering singer Collins due home soon Singer Edwyn Collins is recovering well and is due to return home soon, after suffering a brain haemorrhage last February, according to his wife. In a recent posting on the singer's official website, his wife Grace wrote: "He is advancing in all areas. He took his first steps in recent times. Wonderful stuff." "Edwyn is doing really well," she said. "He's a bit cheerier because he gets home for good in three weeks." Collins was moved to an undisclosed specialist unit after being discharged from London's Royal Free Hospital. The 45-year-old singer had two operations after suffering cerebral haemorrhages. He also contracted superbug MRSA while being treated in hospital during his recovery.
Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted August 2, 2005 So, that'll be a hearty 'Get Well Soon' from all at Deathlist, and if you could let us know well in advance if you plan to do it again, that would be most kind.

maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted August 15, 2005 Bet the new album is a blues collection. Opening line of the first song: 'Well, I woke up this morning and I thought to myself, this beats being on a ventilator'

Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted August 17, 2007 Nice interwiew with Not-Deadwyn here "I was dead," he says, philosophically, "and I was resurrected." Not good news for deathlisters, especially as it makes the name of my DDP team even less witty and relevant than it was before. Great news, however, for anyone who appriciates decent music. Nice one, Sir.
Paul Bearer 6,130 Posted September 8, 2007 Not sure if this interview is here or not. Sort of looks healthy(ish) A bit of a hero, I sincerely wish him well for the future
maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted November 11, 2007 New Album been out a few weeks and we haven't mentioned it here. It's called Home Again, the lyrics tackle his recent problems but - so far as I know - DL doesn't get a plug. Two gigs the week after next planned in London. Anyone fancy checking out his health?
