BrunoBrimley 86 Posted August 22, 2005 I was wondering if anybody here has ever gotten into poetry or story writing of a professional sort within the realms of using death itself as a theme? Taking it a step or two further (or once again is that farther) how about musical endeavors, screen plays or stage plays or even art work...sculpture, claymation, painting, charcoal drawings, ice carving or maybe mime? Ever add some death figure to a building front as part of the decoration? Just idol curiosity. or is that idle? Maybe idle idol?

BrunoBrimley 86 Posted August 22, 2005 Odd how I had forgotten your haiku gracing the pages earlier and my own tribute to the dearly departed Hovis Presley. Maybe I ought not to imbibe distilled beverages before noon anymore
maryportfuncity 10,655 Posted August 22, 2005 Yep, I'd fit the bill although not in the sense of labouring death as the main theme. It's odd how often it crops up in my work though. When I wrote comedy by the ton years ago there were loads of opportunities to get sick, discussing death and disease.
Slave to the Grave 26 Posted August 25, 2005 My Aunt used railings stolen from around someone's grave as a fireguard. For some reason members of a certain village family were never invited in to sit around the fire on cold winters evenings.
