Gil, Atletico's chief shareholder, suffered a severe stroke on Sunday, and is now connected to a ventilator as he battles to recover. A statement from the Clinica Cemtro, where he is being treated, revealed he was stable but that there were still worries for his life. The 71-year-old suffered a stroke on Sunday and was admitted to hospital in Talavera de la Reina before being transferred to a Madrid clinic. Was the transfer a free under the Bosman ruling?
