Wrestlers/actors

Some 1944 births to consider:

Bobby Duncum Sr. - already outlived his son by 25 years

"Flying" Bobby Marshall - real name Marshall Caplan, minor Canadian wrestler who worked for a few years in the early 70s after his even more minor CFL career fizzled out. More interestingly: was the old bloke on the Wii Fit Plus box.

Carlos Plata - Spain-born but worked as a luchador in Mexico and Japan, was a moderately big deal in the early 80s. According to a YouTube comment here currently living in Guadalajara and in decent health.

The Great Kaiser - Real name Sam Tenenbaum, an Alabaman Jewish opera singing wrestler. Has an online presence much bigger than the levels of fame he reached at his peak, but seems to be doing well and fancies himself as a "local character".

George McCreary - Jobber for hire in the 70s, loads of matches, somewhat less wins. Can't see any immediate news about him but looks like he's alive.

Diamond Lil - Midget wrestler, almost certainly the lover of The Fabulous Moolah (and one of the few women who had sex with Moolah willingly without the threat of financial ruin/being stabbed)

Flama Roja - Luchador, one third of "El Ku Klux Klan". Probably couldn't get away with that tag team name these days. Came out of retirement to wrestle a few times in 2022.

Jimmy Hart - Massive name, guaranteed obits across the board when he goes. Still running his seafood restaurant, still posting regularly to social media, still managing Hulk Hogan's finances, will probably be US Secretary of the Treasury halfway through the current administration.

John Naylor  - Snake Pit graduate. World of Sport regular in the 70s, him putting a bit of showbiz shine on the traditional Wigan wrestling clearly an influence on a number of contemporaries (Dynamite Kid most notably).

Pete Evans - Wrestler and promoter from the Birmingham area, good friends with Pat Roach. On the radar of the Balsall Heath Local History Society, so we should know when he goes.

Mike Eagers - Promising British wrestler of the 60s who was a regular on TV screens until he converted to being a Jehovah's Witness and gave up the graps.

Mike Webster - Another minor CFL-turned-minor wrestler. After leaving the graps became a clinical psychologist and worked with the ATF officers who'd been present at Waco.

Roland Bock - Big name in Germany, turned to pro-wrestling after falling out with the selection committee for the 1972 Olympics. Most famous for a brutal match with Antonio Inoki that means he's still used as the archetype for "big mean European" in wrestling video games and anime 50 years later.

Takeshi Oiso - Minor Japanese wrestler but much more significant as a promoter in the Philippines, effectively being the Vince McMahon of SEA.

Tiger Jeet Singh - Along with the Mouth of the South, the other "100% guaranteed QO" on this list. Arguably overhated by his critics (fellow wrestlers) and overloved by his fans (Indians in Canada). Still makes appearances.
Sascha Borysenko - German bodybuilder and TV actor, started off as a pro-wrestler. Interview with him from last year can be found here.

El Sicodelico - Brother to the more famous luchadors Mil Mascaras and Dos Caras. Uncle to the more famous Alberto El Patron. Father to the more famous Sicodelico Jr. Still, he had a go.

Not sure if they're still around

Don Goya - German wrestler of the 60s, real name Alex Nayy. Gets lots of "happy birthday to..." messages on wrestling websites because his DOB is out there, but I've never heard of him before and there's zero info about him online.

Kazuo Honma - Trained by Rikidozan, but the footballer of the same name makes searching for him impossible.

Jimmy Hart was also a member of the Gentrys. He sings lead on their cover version of Neil Young’s Cinnamon Girl.

Wasn't he also the singer on their song "I Keep Dancing"?

I don’t think he sang lead on that one.
